Definately read Tripwire, but you can really start with any of the Jack Reacher books and get to know the character. You don't have to start at the beginning.

This book is by far my Favorite Ken Follett book EVER. I have read each and every one of his books (most twice) and the only one that comes close to this epic story is the sequel World Without End. Get it... in fact, you might as well just get all of his books because he's just AWESOME!!!!
