  1. Hey all, was thinking about getting a new camera jacket, but instead thought about cutting the suit in half and making my own jacket.
    I can say that I have never put on a camera jacket and don't know the components of it, I currently have a tony camera suit with the larger D wing (the bottom of the wing is connected to leg straps Via clips) is there any connection points that are used to hold the jacket itself down, so nothing comes blowing up over my handles? The only jacket I ever saw had stretchy spandex around the waist to aid in keeping it down, any thoughts or ideas? or should I just buy a jacket? thanks in advance! :)

  3. thanks for your opinion dave, I feel much better about the situation. Also remember thats all it is, an opinion or better, a point of view. and thats cool because every one is entitled to one. Quit bashing people, this is lost prairie for fuck sake we don't need essays like this to fuel the fire, let people decide for themselves. :)

  4. yeah the lodge is ready for the ice situation, (8 7/16 minutes away) and the wally world is open 24 hours in kalispell. Moose Crossing in marion also has a whole bunch of food, supplies and cheep beer, actually GREAT prices for a gas station that far from town, I would say try that before risking sanity in kalispell. just my 2 cents. and gas is about the same price in marion as kalispell. plus Vern the owner is a kick in the ass to B.S with. have fun!

  8. yup he sure does, there are some good ones!!Im trying to gather as much as possible to put something together for the 50th, got a bunch of boogie videos and tons of albums sitting in the back shed at the bar. Going to bring all the videos down to the bar and play them on the big screen for every one to see (probably tuesday the 26th). some are so old even mahoney looks young.

  15. just wondering if any one has any old boogie footage from back in the day, im looking for 20+ year old round stuff back in the beginning if possible. going to talk to fred this weekend. I have heard from a few locals this might also be a good way to get ahold of sum as well... looking to get a bunch of stuff on my portable hard drive for a boogie video this year or next, thanks!

  16. I just got the avn4430 eclipse/tom tom put in my truck, it's nice I guess if you are looking to get directions in a city; find a bar or a bite to eat. I just left from lost prairie to lincoln N.E and gave it the real test, didn't work very well, it goes by the shortest distance or the quickest route, since the GPS doesn't now speed limits it tends to take you on the back streets and dirt roads... Not sure if there is a setting i might be missing.. All in all the only time i trusted it was when i pulled off the interstate and was looking for a place to eat. But not many people would use it on long road trips like this, it's a better backup just incase you really really get lost, i guess it was worth the piece of mind, stick with the maps i would say

  19. as i would love to stock up for jump meet i really can't because our walk in cooler is out of order..... lang is better tasting when kept cold.... i can take a few personal orders to be kept in my fridge... keep it in mind fun beverage only bought a couple pallets so if you want it let me know i already have a couple on reserve:)

  20. the sony hdr-hc9 is a good belly flying camera... great vdceo for sure..... but it has the EIS... go a few models back like the hdr-hc5 and the freeflying gets good video without the "video flutter"like you get on the hc9 i recommend getting sidemount camera and top mount still camera... as i got top mount camera and a L bracket stills, very heavy and difficult with few jumps like you and i got just my 2 cents:)

  21. by the way.... fun beverage of kalispell has bought all of the remaining stock in lang creek.... how many are considering stocking up at the boogie.... trying to get somewhat of an order going... input would be f'in sweet.... orders can be placed if something somewhat large is compiled.... let me know P.M would be cool l8a!
