Well that makes sense :) I have been on a tandem so far. I just thought that it might be a cheaper endeavour to purchase my gear for training, but training then purchasing gear makes a lot more sense. Thanks all :)

I am currently reading and reading and reading too much information about skydiving gear, and I'd like to know what is a good canopy size and rig for a beginner. Something that will last me a good while, and of good quality. I am 5'9 or 10" and weigh about 170 lbs. I have kind of read that I would be about a C17? harness size? Any direction towards rig, canopy, and harness sizing would be great. Thanks in advance for your posts!

Hi all, After my tandem from 11K feet yesterday and a really cool instructor who flipped us out and delta'd for a couple seconds out of the plane, I am totally hooked. I'd like to know everything and anything I need to know to get me started on purchasing equipment and making sure it meets safety standards or whatnot.
