Definitely the best DZ in South Africa. They have everything you need to comfortably spend the whole week end jumping, from accommodation to showers to food, bar, packing area, etc. The load organization is carried out efficiently and smoothly and the Porter keeps the loads rolling to altitude at a comfortable pace. The people are generally open and friendly and there is a definite air of desire to encourage improvement and achievement, I’ve learned a lot from the people here, both staff and local jumpers. The only negative things about the place are that it’s a bit far out from the city. Takes about an hour to get there from the city. And then since the drop zone is located on the edge of a small mining and farming town, the scenery tends to be a bit bland and flat, apart from one or two large mine dumps off in the distance. But that’s about the only criticism I have. Other than that the place rocks!
