  1. Hi, congrats on your 1st jump. Ive only got 42 jumps so am in no way qualified to tell you what to do especially as Ive had a few bad ones myself. But definately DONT look straight down, the ground rush is very confusing. I flared too high on jump no.5, thinking i was closer to the ground than i was, and landed on my knees on the tarmac runway after dropping 10ft.I was told to look out at where i intend to land, easier said than done at the start but you'll soon get the hang of it. Your instructor should be giving you radio help for the 1st few jumps. Good luck and happy landings!
  2. Not sure which side of Orlando he's at but sounds like I'll be spoilt for choice! I look forward to catching up with y'all out there.
  3. A rig, a plane & blue skies. Its great when the fog lifts allowing one to see clearly. Even if it IS tunnel vision. Addicted, moi....?
  4. Thanks! I'm hoping to get out to Florida later on this year, my brother has a house near Orlando. I havent checked out what DZ's are closest to him, where do you jump? As soon as I've sold all my worldly possessions, i'll be there.....
  5. Thanks Peej. I'm already on it, am downgrading my car to buy me a rig.....
  6. Hi to everyone, I'm a newbie. Did AFF & got my A licence in New Zealand a few weeks ago, im up to 42 jumps and loving it. But now I'm back in London where the weather is bad & im skint, havent jumped for 2 weeks, suffering major withdrawals. The real world sucks. Thanks to everyone I met at Mercer, I had a blast!
