I second that motion. Plain and simple, you base because you want to, and you love it, and you are willing to accept the possible problems associated. It's fun and you do it for fun!! Just enjoy and always be ready to deal with a mal. Most jumpers don't jump because they have a death wish, they have a life wish to have fun while they are alive. Keep jumping and do it as safely as possible.
