  1. yeah i'm just gonna do the reverse tri this year then i'll just work on getting a nice base over the winter and then i'll try and hit up a couple of the triathlons in NY next year. i'll probably have to invest in a mountain bike to get any training in over the winter though haha.
  2. its actually a reverse tri.. its a 5k run, 15 mile bike, and 400 yard swim. I've done a 350 m swim, 2.6 mile run and 9 mile bike pretty easily.. the swimming part sucked though. I'm thinkin it'll be nice to do the reverse though, at least the water wont be so crowded. (btw, it'll be in an indoor pool :) ) so wetsuits arent an issue at all. I think thats the only one for the rest of the year that i'm going to do.. I'm moving to NY in december. depending on how well i do i might see about maybe getting some minor sponsorship.. I work for a city gym, and have already generated an enormous amount of new membership, so if nothing else i should be able to get priority on the treadmills and a lane in the pool whenever i need it. We'll see what happens!
  3. I've been training for a triathlon in Keller for a week now, and I just thought i'd see who all likes the 3somes on here. I'm on the 10 week schedule so i should be in top shape by oct 20th which is when the event is. Not really looking to place, or anything, but just finish somewhere in the middle of the pack. I'm trying to focus more on the swimming then anything else, my swimming SUCKS. The running and biking aint no thing, in fact I'm positive i could do a half Ironman bc 56 miles of biking and 13 miles of running doesnt really bother me, but its the 1.6 miles of swimming that makes me go ERRRRR...
  4. congrats on your jumps!! billy V is a great guy, he helped me through emails when i was going through AFF.. Also Fred Goebel came and helped out.. but he is no longer an AFF instructor, but he is still very knowledgable. I've jumped with him a couple times and it was always a blast.. even got him to do a couple of Freefly exits! lol.
  5. march.. cool. hope it goes through, i'd definitely have to go out there and check it out. I just dont like cessnas, they take way too long and dont go as high. Sorry, i wasnt aware that personal preference was an issue in skydiving.
  6. Thank you for that completely worthless message that had nothing to do with skydive temple.. i'll be expecting 5 dollars to my paypal account for the expense of reading that message that wasted 30 seconds of my time. Thanks! and yeah, the pac750 looks pretty sweet. I just might have to start jumping again if indeed that plane resides out there now.
  7. since i heard that skydive temple is being bought out by a couple that own a pac 750, is this true? when are they going to have things up and running? I've been living in Temple for about a year now, and never had any interest in jumping at temple because i know they only have Cessnas, which i hate, and plus i had heard there's no freeflyers there. i was wondering since there's this pac 750 thats supposedly going to be the jumpship, are there going to be people from this area that migrate to skydive temple? hope so!
