  3. manifest? gear store at the dz? packer? they dont involve jumping....or do you mean totally away from the dropzone? I thought thius myself, maybe one day work in the sport but am afraid to ruin the buzz by jumping TOO much
  4. yeah definately, i thought about my ipod but then again i wouldnt want to miss any bit of infomation which might keep me safe, in the plane or on the way down
  5. will we need a gum sheild and body armour!? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2411732;search_string=nigelh;#2411732
  6. im taking a guess your in the uk as you want to do ff1, i did a bit of tunnel time mixed in with my aff course a few months back, and now i have my FS1 im thinking the exact same thing, tunnel time then hit the freefly in the sky for real. Ive been looking at these freefly schools at both bedford and airkix, will be that way for theagm so thinking some time then http://www.avalorefreefly.com/wind_tunnel_coaching.php http://www.monstertunnel.co.uk/
  7. Excellent dz to visit, was there for a 2 weeks and jumped my butt off! Two turbine porters going to 13500feet, one of them BRAND NEW (with a great paint job) Did a bunch of fun jumps with my buddies then opted for some coaching from there resident freefly school, Avalore Freefly. Top lads got me my FF1 in 14 jumps! Cashback! Atmosphere is great, everyone gets together after jumping for beers and watch the videos from the day in the now open bar/restaurant. Free LO for freefly, did a load of headup jumps after my FF1 and and some sweet atmo dives.!! Nice grass landing area (makes a change for Spain!) and a huge 400ft swoop pond (didnt go near this as cant swim, and cant swoop for sh*t!! :) Stayed in a great house with my friends, within walking distance from the dz, with all the mod-cons. Nice restaurants and bars to relax in during the evening, and overall a great dz to come and jump loads...Cant wait till the Xmas Boogie!! Cant recommend it more, love the place...although it seems some people love to hate it for some reason??? :/ Apparantly before i arrived the bar was shut and they had portaloo's, but come on guys?.. Never had to take a crap in a portaloo? Anyway, while I was there the facilities were back up and running and couldnt have been better, toilets, showers, bar restaurant, outside area infront of the bar to relax...Jackanackanoory! Pay it a visit you wont be dissapointed, and if your there for Xmas i'll see you there!!!
  8. As i havent graduated aff yet and have to be here for a few more days, i think at this point it may effect how i am treated...
  9. Hi there ive been here on AFF and at 2pm everyday for the past 4 days we have been reduced to having to get out at 6k....??? A visiting jumper from leo said they had no problems at their dz?.... They pilot said this would be a permanent problem..??? So what is the real story?? No one here who havent finished their AFF have been offered compensation let alone had any form of communication from the illusive character who runs the AFF school here Load 8 was about to go up and now on a weather hold local time 2pm. when do i get to meet the person i paid over 1000 euros to? Do they ever come to the dropzone to see what ACTUALLY is going on? David FFU Client Care http://www.freefalluniversity.co.uk
