I purchased a MT-1X HALO rig in excellent condition, and I have a few questions for those knowledgeable: #1 The main has a large metal grommet in top center and a corresponding one in the lower cell, what is this for? the slider also has an attachment loop on the topside. #2 the reserve was FAA repacked and was determined to be a "5" cell at 370 sqft, what implications does that present performance-wise?

Yes - I agree with your assessments. I was going to take the training slow and easy. Been checking out AFF/Tandem course packages here in Western WA. (get started soon as the monsoons subside) Maybe put in 50 or so jumps, (or discretion of the instructor) before tackling the animal you mentioned. Was in hi rise/commercial/framing construction for 19 years, take safety pretty seriously.

RE: this airborne medical team is impoverished. It is enough for them to supply the fuel and the plane. Third world healthcare is low on G7/host gvmt. priorities list. This is another way for me to be an asset to humanity and also a partial tax write-off.

Well Dave- In part because I am a third world medical volunteer and I am meeting req's to join an airborne medical team and thusly, need ability to tote additional gear for remote insertions. Also, I generally choose structural integrity over esthetics in certain issues. Yeah, it probably will be chunky and funky: but it'll do til I get some experience and go from there. Hey Guys! - I am new to Skydiving. Need others input on MT-1xx HALO rigs. Is it a decent rig for a newbie, (6' 225lb.)? any problems with Mil rigs at civilian dropzones? How much should I expect to pay for one in excellent condition, say 100 or less jumps? Any and All input greatly appreciated!!!
