  1. - Are you interested in becoming a more proficient canopy pilot? - Are you interested in learning how to swoop? - Are you in interested in competing in canopy piloting competitions? If you answered yes to any, or all, of the above questions then we have the answer! Skydive the Farm, the Southeast's premier swoopers dropzone, will be hosting a canopy skills camp on January 28th-29th with World Cup runner-up Paul Rossouw, World Record distance holder Mark Shimell, and the 2005 CPC Champion Brian McNenney, who is a member of Team Fastrax Swoop, as your coaches. These 3 canopy pilots have several years of successful competition training and experience between them from the CPC, to the PST, to the World Cup! This camp will be geared towards learning the art of competition swooping. All three competiton courses will be set up (Speed, Distance and Accuracy) and students will run these courses and their coach will video debrief the jump from exit to touchdown. This is a perfect opportunity for up and coming swoopers who want to compete in the upcoming CPC season to learn from 3 seasoned successful CPC competitors. There will be a small registration fee + jumps for the camp. There is also a discount for those that pre-register. There will be a classroom session early Saturday morning discussing everything from pattern flying to proper gear. Then the jumping begins with one coach in the plane and two coaches on the ground with video cameras. We will debrief as a group as this way you learn from others as well. Jumps will all be from 5000ft. To pre-register for this camp, or for more information please contact Mark Shimell at 770-314-9828. Pre-registration can be paid in cash or check with Mark, or contact him for information on how to pre-register with a credit card.
