  1. Hello all! Did AFF course 5 yrs ago, did about 30 jumps, but haven´t dived in 4 yrs now! (i was a poor student). In South America now and looking for somewhere to do a refresher course. Going to be near dropzones in Sierra de la Cruz, Bolivia, and Mendoza Argentina soon. Can anybody give some feedback on either dropzones please as there´s no reviews on their pages. Thanks a mil, Jill jilly ;-)
  2. Just a little question- what's the cloud and wind usually like in January in the Barcelona region? OK to jump majority of days? Going over to Barcelona for New Years anyway and just wondering what my chances are of gettin even one jump in while I'm there? jilly ;-)
  3. Hi all, im a newby to skydiving with just aff and few jumps done. Am going to barcelona over New Years and was wondering are there any dropzones that are easy to get to using public transport from barcelona city? And that has accomodation (and night life please!) nearby?? jilly ;-)
  4. Thanks everyone!! Hadn't got to check replies til now, but they have made me feel much better! I thought it sounded a bit ridiculous alright. I'll just have to lie next time i donate when they ask me do i have any dangerous hobbies... Mind you, with the weather over here it probably will be at least two months brfore i get to jump again! jilly ;-)
  5. I donated blood today and was told that after donating i cant jump for at least two months, preferably three, because of drop in red blood cell count, the cells which deliver oxygen around the body. Aparently at such altitudes the body wouldn't have enough oxygen..... But is this strictly true and would it actually be dangerous to jump, or is it just one of these precautionary things people say, and could it be cut down to say, a few weeks?! jilly ;-)
  6. No way!! No offence but you're so wrong! My friend and i went to freefall uni in ocana to do aff course in august and loved it. OK yeah you have to pay to repeat levels (is that not the same evrywhere?) but i think that's fair enough (i had to repaet two levels, my friend didnt repeat any). Anyway it was so good we went back two weeks later, with a guy we met there on our first trip. There's great people there and such a good atmosphere, i've made great frineds from that place. The coaches are amazing , some of specialising in freefall and some in formation, all real easy to get along with.... And dave is Not a tosser!! All the people that were there on both my trips got along great with him so you must be the one with a problem? He organises everything really well, accomodation, transport etc aswell as the course, and sorts all problems out. I might sound like i'm singing freefall uni's praises a bit too much but it genuinely is a great placeto do aff, and after that to go back and continue jumping. Im going back again in january. And you just have to look at it's webpage to see how many people go back time and time again. jilly ;-)
  7. Yep we certainly always made sure to make make it to a bar or two...First we'd go for dinner, a spanish tapas bar or the american cookery, both lovely! Then onto cheers or the coctails bar and then avalon, usually pay for it in the morn when we had to be at dz 9am or earlier but it was always worth it and skydivings actually a very good hangover cure!! You'll deffo love the new location, i've already been back a second time and starting to plam the next trip over...... And yeah i forgot you were going over this weekend dean- have a deadly time, and tell jordy to go easy on your wife!! jilly ;-)
  8. Look at you showing off that naked body, you'd swear you actually had a good body or something But yeah im sure u can do naked jumps or whatever there but imagine how cold it'd be....but if you dont mind im certainly not gonna stop ya! jilly ;-)
  9. Freefall uni kept the same name but moved to ocana (about 30mins from madrid). There's a spanish school at the same dropzone..... Everyone's so nice there and it's such a laugh. From the sound of what lillo was like ocana is much better! I'd deffo go there for your aff if i were you.....and if u wanna pay for me to pop over there with you you're more thwn welcome to!! jilly ;-)
  10. Yep it's S**t (see i'm being polite now) being back at home... If anyone feels like sponsoring me and la 2 go back soon we'd be much obliged Few more photos of the naked jump wouldn't be a bad idea, please?! Hope you're all well over there and missing us dearly x jilly ;-)
  11. Oh how can you wait til next year?!! But anyway enjoy it when you finally get to do it, i know you'll love it! Ya never know, we might be back over there when you're there!! jilly ;-)
  12. I aint no skank ho u mo'fo' cock suckin sperm spittin mick lickin leprachaun. Note: these are actaul slags, not like our usual 'banter and jokes', I MEAN THESE ONES rahaha jilly ;-)
  13. Hia yeah i was there only the other week and it was amazing!! Im from Ireland and i could have done the same- done the aff for about the same price at home, but im so glad i didnt!! Definitely worth the trip, weathers so much better, can get course done in two days, unlike in the uk. Place and people are great aswell, so good im going back this day next week! I really cant afford it but im completely hooked! My friend who i went over with is going back aswell, as is an english guy who was doing the course at the same time. So basically yeah its Deffo better to go over there and do it! If you've any more Qs just post me back. Oh and if you decide to go, go on the 15th and the three of us will be there!!
