Thanks DSE..
I had also in my mind to buy a N3 for its low profile and add it on my wrist...but now i prefer to spend the money to buy a flysight.:-))
If the weather is good i will do some jumps and I will report back.
Thank you guys. -
Thanks.!! It looks fine.!
I will try to mount it there next time and see the results. -
If it is not a problem for you....Can you please upload this picture to check it..?
I have over 2 months to receive the parachutist..:-(((((
Next time i will try it on my wrist and i will see the results.
Thank you for your replies. -
I have both settings enabled..:-(
The only thing that I am thinking is that I must did a GOOD job.. :-p
I mean..it was my first jump with the S,I did some practice pulls and I was a little unstable after the pulls.I remember I was stable around 8000-9000...and the altitrack records opening at 7890..
So I supposed I had a very slow fall rate and confused the altitrack..?
Another thing is the position of the alti..I have it on my left mudflap..
Is it matters?? Comparing to the wrist.?
But again I NEVER HAD any issues before. -
Yeah I've heard that before about the 3 mins flights..:-)))But i supposed it will take me some jumps to achieve that..It is my first "triwing" suit..I was a S-fly "fan"..
I hope the weather will be good next weekend..:-) -
Flysight is my in my future "plans" as right now Tony took my last savings..:-))))
I am curious about flight data because time is not the most important thing..next weekend I will put on my camera to check the time..in case if altitrack stops again..I didn't want to have it on my first solo jump with the S-bird
Thanks for the answers.:-) -
Hello there.!
This week just received my new "toy" S-bird and this sunday i did only one jump because of very high winds..:-((
I know somewhere in the forum probably will exists the answer but i didn't found any...
So,the question is WHY my Altitrack stops at 67 sec and says opening at 7800..??
I disappointed because i wanted to check the time to compare my previous suit and i didn't had a chance to do more jumps to add my camera...
The settings is SLOW and SAS...
Never had a problem before with my previous suit..
Best time was 141 sec..
Any idea or different settings etc..??
Thank you for your time.
ps:By the way..this thing going F.A.S.T ..:-0 -
ronnyDwhich guys do you mean?
I mean Martin..Finally i contact with him. -
Great thanks.
I am looking a box for my cx 730 and I can't find anyone else making for this camera.:-).
I send another mail and it seems that everything went ok..
Now I am waiting..
Thanks for the replies.:-) -
Cool..!!
And what about the image quality comparing the two for example
Polarized film and with a good expensive glass filter..? B&w,sigma etc... -
DSEyou can also put a piece of polarizing gel inside the lens of the GoPro case. These polarizing gels are free if you have a Rosco sample swatch. Otherwise, they're about 11.00 from a camera shop.

I am talking here for a go pro 2 not hero 3 ... :-) -
Does anybody knows how can I contact with these guys.?
http://www.exitequipment.com/index.html
I send them an email.. but it returns to me..:-(
Probably doesn't work.? -
Here are the photos..
Hope it helps. -
First of all you need to buy a spare gopro case (or not)..:-)
Then you must order from ebay one( i suggest more..they are very cheap and you will have 2-3 to experiment with ) step up metal ring from 25mm to 55mm.
Then unscrew the original plastic lens from the case and with a dremel tool (or similar) oversize the hole to 25mm...or slightly smaller to fit tight the step up ring if you want.
After this, make the six holes to the step up ring with the help of the original plastic gopro ring..
and using the original 6 screws install the metal ring on the case..
and you will have a 55mm thread on you gopro case to install any kind of filter you want (polarized,ND,just simple UV etc.)..
Unfortunately I did it before 2-3 years and i cant found the photos during the processes.
I will upload only a photo of one spare metal ring that i had made..
Also be aware that the case will not be waterproof anymore..
unless you add a O-ring between the metal ring and the case and between the metal ring and the filter..:-)
But for skydive works perfect and adds more "live" colors on the footage.! -
It is not lens..It is 55mm polarized filter...Custom made by me on the original case..With smaller filter I had black corners....A Bigger one was not possible...so 55MM is perfect..
It is very easy to do it..:-) -
OR you can do this...It is very simple and safe..:-) -
Thank you for your inputs guys.!
Finally I switched back to my old sony cx105..!
I bought one cheap from ebay...:-) and I will decide later about the contour or hero3 or replay...
Maybe I will wait for some footage from them to compare.
Thanks. -
Hi there.!
I sold my go pro hero2 because I needed the money
and now i am thinking to buy again one camera to film my jumps..
The question is which camera from these two are the "best" choice..:-)
Almost "everybody" use a gopro...so,no reviews and opinions
for the contour+2..
Any input will be helpful...and maybe a footage from the contour+2..:-)
Thanks. -
What about the new cx410..or cx430 for US models I think.?
It looks a reasonable choice if you don't want to spend money for the cx 730.! -
QuoteHave someone film you :)
I felt the range of the Elite was more horizontal than vertical. Did you have the same experience?
I jumped with a guy with profly grip version....but he wasn't able to fly with me...( only 10 wingsuit jumps)
I had more power and the purpose of the jump was to "push" the suit..
I thing I had the same feeling with you....I have the altimeter on my chest...and I had a slow falling...and more forward movement...when I was looking the ground.. -
QuoteThanks for the review.
When looking left or right, you are probably not just rotating your head on one axis, but also shifting your weight and that could cause the instability, but I am just guessing. Have someone film you.
I am not sure about that....because on the first 2 jumps I had only the gopro in front of my helmet (not on the top)....without any problems.... -
QuoteSorry to say that, but 2min are not so impressive. What was your distance, you are flying this day with the suit?
QuoteI will reach very easy 2,5 to 3 minutes of flight...
Why do you think that? Are you a big an not so heavy man?
As I said above...I am not the right guy to post a review for ANY wingsuit..I don't have the experience to do that...also I don't have experience in different type of suits and brands...
I don't have a high number of wingsuit jumps...to be able to judge a suit...
To answer to your post...
For me it is "huge" to past 2 minutes flight...."125 sec" My personal record with my expert after 25-30 jumps was 115 sec....so when I saw 125 sec on the second jump I was impressed.
Thats why I am saying i will do 2,5 or hard three minutes after a few jumps....Maybe I'm wrong....but I have this feeling...
I am not a big guy...I am 1.62 cm tall..and 68kg...
But I am impressed from the performance of the suit...and i am very happy and satisfied..
The size of the suit is smaller than the "small" size of the factory...If I did over 2 minutes flight.....imagine someone with larger suit than mine...(medium-large etc)....with bigger wings-surface...am I wrong?
I found the suit very easy to fly and very powerful..
At least this is my opinion...
I don't want to convince anybody to buy this suit... -
QuoteWill happily settle for measurements in things like "width of smile" or "length of time grinning after the jump" etc.
Ok...the "Review"....:-)
I did today three jumps...
The first one was a good solo jump from 13.400ft and deploy at 3.200 ft..
The first thing I noticed was...SPEED...and GLIDE-LIFT..
I had 111 sec flight..
The second one was from 13.700ft and deploy at 3.100ft..
I had 125 sec flight..!
The third jump was with a friend of mine..He has a profly, grip version...I didn't have a long time of flight because "you can't" fly in full speed while jumping with others....but I noticed that the suit "ELITE" has a lot of power and performance..It is a very powerful suit.I was close enough to profly..and I had much more power to go away if I wanted to..
My previous suit was an s-fly expert....and this suit is a big step from the expert...Not hard and difficult to fly..but for sure have a lot of things to learn with it..
Now about the smile thing....I am still smiling..:-)
I am very satisfied with this suit...and I believe after a few more jumps...I will reach very easy 2,5 to 3 minutes of flight...
I have one question....
I had a sony cx series on top of my RAWA....and when I was looking left-right to see my friend...I had turbulence and not a stable flight..until i look forward and down again...This happened because of the more forward speed???
I did't felt this before with my expert..same setup...
I suppose the forward speed was responsible for that...?
That's all..
Hope this helps.. -
QuoteDo please post a review etc.?
Cheers,
Ross
I am afraid I don't have too much experience on different wingsuit types and brands.....But I will do my best..:-)
