  1. Much as I wanted to see the Germans get hammered, I kinda don't want to face them in the next round (if England top their group and Germany come runners up in their's that is what happens). So glad they won.

    Personally i thought the deserved it, had the best chances klosse missed a sitter of a header.

    Big game starts in just under an hour and a half and the company I work for is closing early :)

    COME ON ENGLAND!!!

  2. I know about the student rigs, although I believe they are for reserve side instructors to deploy students rather than the student to deploy themselves.

    And of course the reserve handle being on the opposite side makes a lot of sense and I was aware that is what the guy should have done in this situation (and of course is the same reason i said that discussion was best left for a different thread).

    I can reach the centre of the bottom of all the containers I have used so far, although I suppose not everyone can.

    I suppose it's something that could be done, but isn't really needed and thus not implicated.

    Was just wondering if there were technical reasons for not doing it.

  3. Read a thread about a guy who dislocated his right shoulder in freefall, the guy in question deployed his main with his left hand, whether he did right or wrong is not what I want to discuss (use the thread in safety & training if you do).

    My question is couldn't we have a main deployment system that could be deployed from either side?

    What would be the drawbacks of a PC with the handle in the centre of the BOC pouch?

    I haven't learnt to pack yet and am not 100% on bridle routes, but would this be possible?

  4. Good idea doing tunnel time, hopefully should give you confidence to be in control during AFF without the pressure of the ground coming up at you at 120mph.

    End of the day it's all about having fun, don't loose sight of that, smile!

    :D

  5. I am a huge football fan (it's a sport you play with your foot, so I am gonna call it football, don't like it tough). Play every week watch whenever I can. Love it!!

    2 Weeks to go

    Rooney is out :(

    COME ON ENGLAND!

    Can any one tell me the difference between the symmetrical and asymmetrical?

    Asymmetrical means 0 is in a watch like position, it's at 90 degrees to your arm, asymmetrical means it's inline with your wrist with 0 pointing at your middle finger.

    I'm sure one of these statements is supposed to start with the word symmetrical :S

    Wow I really couldn't have got that much more wrong :)

  8. Daft as it sounds I find it much easier to judge my flare height if I land near other people. I think it's either because I flare when my feet get a couple of feet above their head, or I am extra careful because I don't want to fuck up around others lol.

  9. I have seen student rigs with reserve side pilot chute deployment (basically a way for the reserve side instructor to throw the PC).

    I would imagine adjustable ML web would be biggest difference.

    Possilbly different AAD installed?

  10. Bedford and airkix are you option.

    Bedford = 16ft
    Airkix = 12ft

    You decide

    (and yes I know that not the only considerations, feel free to add reasons why airkix is better than bedford if you feel like it)

  11. Setup wasn't bad, chains are for adjusting the height of the lights, obviously hydroponics, ventilation looks good, although not CO2 canister in sight.

    As for how they were caught, I suppose their lavish lifestyle (news article mentions a yacht), I suppose they could have got away with the electricity bill if they said they were mining.

    5 year investigation, 100 pounds every 8 weeks, lets say $150 and ounce?

    (52/8x5)x 100 x 16 x 150 = 7.8 million dollars

    Lot of money (obviously less expenses)
