  1. Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds,--and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along... Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark, nor eer eagle flew-- And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high, untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God. Rest in Peace Sammy, D
  2. I'm hugely sorry to say that I found out about Sammy's death here last night. He was a great pal of mine while we were both at Ft. Lewis. I had decided to look him up and did a web search. Would you please email me off-list and tell me what happened? I'm heartbroken, but know that Sam is now God's Jumpmaster, probably giving angels crap about how they fly. Thanks, Dorothy Stahlman Lowry [email protected]
