  1. I first stumbled across Skydive San Diego in 2001, wasn't really a dz then, i went back this year and was amazed. This english chap called andy( ginger) seems to be running the show and he was extremely helpful throughout as were all the staff. The facilities are good, large packing area, new bunkhouse, rigging loft and good aircfrafts. What i liked was the atmosphere, no people worshipping each other, everyone there to help out and a good selection of jumpers from students to advanced. I would recommend this place also for the location, if you get a down day then san diego is 2 mins, good nitelife, food, beaches, surf,( for a great nite try " The Tavern " bar in Pacific Beack area, its owned by a skydiver whos v cool guy) so you can kill 2 birds with one stone ! The chicks that they get in the summer doing tandems is also worth a look, i mean there's some crackers ! There was one strange thing though, they have this Tandem Cameraman there called " Disco Dave " its worth visiting just to meet him cos he's nuts ! Overall - check it out, you'll be surprised, i was !
