Hi, I'm looking for US Dropzone using Skyvan or Sherpa. Any known? ;) -
Unfortunately she haven't agreed to deliver it for inspection :(
Maybe someone from Houston knows her and can act as an agent/trusted third party? -
Thank you for your advices. I will try to ask her to deliver it to Spaceland for inspection. -
Hi, I am going to buy this gear from Houston:
http://www.dropzone.com/classifieds/Detailed/Complete_Systems/Vector_V3_only_9_Jumps_Sabre2_150_PD_143r_Vigil2_139486.html
Do you know someone who can have a look at it and make quick inspection if everything is ok? Maybe someone knows seller?
Thank you. -
It is because of zkulls mount and gap between box and helmet. If you grab the helmet with one hand and the box with other hand and try move you can feel that it shakes. Put some tape on box or helmet it should "seal" the gap. -
QuoteHow often do you pull the card and not just transfer the memory to a hard drive?
I know the 160 can transfer directly to an external HD w/o using a computer.
Can the 100 do this?
On our DZ we pull the card after every jump to leave it for editing. So every one of us has 2 or 3 cards -
fliteclub.pl (Wloclawek, Poland) has one -
Thanks for all, especially who recommended Chris Irwin ;)
He is an excellent instructor and taught me a lot and show me how much really I don't know about flying ;)
2.5 hour in the tunnel gave me more then 500 jumps.
Thanks again for all ;) -
Thanks All for help and advices.
I have chosen Christopher Irwin but I have problem - I have lost contact with him and he doesn't answering my emails :( Does anybody stay in touch with him? -
Hi,
I'm going to visit Perris Valley or Eloy mid to late July and was wondering if there is anyone available to do some RW coaching in the tunnel.
Thanks -
from Contrail (Cobalt) manual:
Calculate the wing loading now for the Contrail canopy you intend to jump.
If this figure is below 1.4 lbs/ft², the parachute will be relatively docile and easy to land. It will also have reduced penetration into the wind and reduced inflation pressure in the entire canopy. The profile will not be as rigid as it should be. A figure below 1.4 lbs/ft² is as dangerous as a figure above 2.3 lbs/ft²! -

Quotehi there, i'm about to buy a second hand rig as follows:
container Mirage G3 M4 (manufactured on 99 but dry-stored and only jumped 50 times, looks like new)
cypress 2 new (july 2005)
reserve smart 150 (july 2005)
main: stiletto 170 (200 jumps)
3000€ -> 3655 USD
reply]
where did you find it? ;)
funny, now it is my rig
i bought it 2 months ago on ebay and I saw this rig listed for sale few times - it's nice and very popular
Round trip, Warsaw via London Gatwick to Orlando from 10 to 20 Mar or Apr 2006, £480 or about $950, tunnel discount price $470 per hour (we will buy about 30-35 hr for 6 people). In Orlando you have a lot of superb and famous instructors and you can visit many great DZ and jump there for ~$18 (Airking - 7 minuts 4000m!) And the weather is better ;)
So, the winner is...
I know a guy who had 26 years off after some health problems...
then he came back and made about 100 jumps ;)
Anyone know of any DZ's in Nigeria?

At the same time i would not call it paranoia.
I totally agre but because of my poor english knowledge I couldn't find other adequate word ;)
Wire transfer is one of the quickest and the most safe and cheap way to send a money abroad. And it is the most popular way to send the money in the world, especially in Europe. I have already bought few rigs in US and every time I had problems to persuade sellers to give me their account #. For example sending $3500 via wire transfer I pay about $30 but sending the same amount via Westerm Union - $350!!! If you add shipping cost - about $100 - you can see that transaction costs make a deal unprofitable. So do not be suprised when someone don't want to send money this way.
And for me (I am banking and finacial expert) it sounds like scam paranoia - giving your account # you don't give an acces to your account, you only let the money enter to your bank.
And of course you don't have to ship a rig before wire transfer clarification
Contrail (Cobalt) 150
I just got the exact same PM from the same "princo"
QuoteThe same deflector flap that has been put on the Atom should be put on the Omega. The other alternative is to redesign the flap.
maybe something like this (sorry for my poor drawing)
Quote
There was a similar incident on a Atom rig where a line was caught on the middle flap and (almost?) ripped it of the rig. There was a modification issued to sew on a deflector flap to prevent this from happening.
Can't find the SB now though.
Here is description of this accident:

You are welcome
Nowy Targ is one of our DZ's It is in Tatry, our biggest mountains. A view of the mountains tooks breath away, especially sunset jumps.
I think the jumps your friend are thinking about aren't strictly military jumps. It is commercial camp for bodyguards who want to make jump using military round parachutes and military procedures. due to regulations it is very hard to jump with the army. But I heard that it is much easier for foreigners
