  1. I was told that the staff probably won't be doing any training jumps during the boogie (which is understandable). But between now and then I'm going to try and get cleared to jump solo. Sounds like it's going to be a great party with some awesome people so even if I'm not cleared by then I'll probably still go. It's only a 4 hour drive. I hope to jump with you sometime in the near future, and hopefully I'll see you at the boogie!
  2. Thanks Jeth, And good luck to you too!
  3. I am in the same boat you are, I haven't jumped for about 14 months. The few jumps I have I did at Perris. I recently moved to GA and I haven't had time to find out what dz's I'm closest to or what they're requirements are for me becoming licensed, but if they tell me start all over then that's what I'll do. Sure it will be expensive but it's all in the interest of keeping us safe. Edited to add: Plus it's a great incentive to never take that long of a break from skydiving again
  4. Thanks skymama. So it's your job to welcome all of us newbies huh? I don't envy you On Aug. 30th my divorce (seemingly the longest one in history) is going to be final and after that, any money my kids spare me , will go towards jumping! I read in one of the other forums where someone hasn't jumped for 2 years and will now have to start all over from the beginning. I made my last jump in July 2003; will the same apply to me? It makes no difference, I'm just wondering.
  5. I've been browsing this site for a few weeks and decided to register myself today. I haven't been able to jump since the beginning of last summer but it looks like I'll finally be able to again once Sept. rolls around. I can't wait! I'm looking forward to getting licensed and falling through the sky with so many of you!
