Dearest skydiver/participant, During the period May 7th to 20th some of you participated in the survey to uncover the changes that skydiving does to us humans. The study already revealed some very interesting findings, in the sense that the larger the number of skydives, the more likely we are to have a change to the “classical” falling dream: we fall and wake up just before hitting the ground. The findings in this survey are important since the dream about falling is not based on experience –no one fell and died (in this life at least, depending on belief). In other words, the dream about falling was in our brains from birth. The study tells us that a number of factual examples (skydive = falling and surviving) can change our thinking, even the thinking that is pre-programmed(!) As such, it opens up a host of possibilities for “curing” the fears that we learned in our life. Simply put, if we can change the pre-programming of the brain with facts, anything learned in (this) life can surely be changed too. In actual numbers, people with 2000+ skydives have observed this change in 70% of the sample group. (See attached image.) In the coming months, I will be working with scientists in the dept. of psychology at University of South Florida, USF, to determine the feasibility of conducting more applied research in the field.
