  1. I had personally done numerous wingsuit base jumps with him. He had very good situational awareness and was an expert in multiple alpine sports. I am not interested in discussing this further. I just wanted to establish that despite his general disdain for, and avoidance of the skydiving industry he was not a kook, gumby, idiot or whatever other names people like to throw around.
  2. The way it was explained to me by the ranger, you could be cited for AD for landing an umbrella, a bedsheet or a flying unicorn in "their" parks. "USA = LAND OF THE FREE?" National Parks, especially YNP, are not part of the United States. Just ask anyone who's been in their court.
