Sorry, at my DZ it's wingsuits only or nothing.
(DZ of the Future)
On second thought, you could do the spectator ride, for half price. -
QuoteI wouldn't get on that load.
This is purely hypothetical with as many go 'rounds or 180's as you want. All solos will remain solos. Jump run could be started much earlier and extended longer.
Thanks for any input -
20 wingsuit jumpers on one load
7- solo
4- 2 way
1- 5 way
How would you exit and flight plan it ? -
-
60 - track pantz
126 - Prodigy
144 - Phantom -
Miles D , what it be ? -
Click on "detailed view" at the top of the container page and there are pics of all risers types open and closed. -

and we'll check it out for you
Quotesick, ill see you guys there. I am looking forward to trying Deadmans tracking off the pizza cliff. i think i can pull over the parking lot. Its gonna be sick.
Go for Potash instead. People have taken 5 there.
QuoteI would say that wingloading and elevation affect start characteristics much more than a suit model.
Taking this into consideration how would you exit with your leg wing if you had to ensure early separation ? ( like how much are you bending your knees and how much of your leg wing is exposed ? )
Quotewhat is "keen and able" and who is JT. i'm guessing it's a movie of some sort????
"Keen and Able" is the latest BASE flik from Jimmy Halliday. www.jimmyhalliday.com and JT is a BASE jumper.
Quoteanybody with any input on the Acro and B.A.S.E. flying or should i say out flying the talice experience?
In "Keen and Able" JT outracks the talus of HD with what looks like just PF pants.
From some of the vids I've watched it seems the PC's that ocillate are the ones that are starting to strip the center cell away from the packjob.
QuoteBy the way, when you're under canopy, unless you're in one hell of a thermal, you'll be losing altitude, too, not gaining or even maintaining it (except during a flare.)
You forgot about cloud suck, wave lift and surfing the ridge lift off the leading edge of a cloud. Depending on your canopy 1000 fpm thermal is usually enough to maintain and that's really just an average one.
Falling while in freefall ,flying while under canopy. IMO you have to be able to gain or maintain altitude in order to call it flying
If wingsuit exits before the tandems and are flying their pattern how is a tandem going to pass you in freefall ? Even under canopy the tandems are so far away. The only issue would possibly be on landing. A little traffic is just skydiving and give ROW to Tandems.
Why not just exit before the tandems ?
How about a "Yosemite Day", one weekend a year where it's legal to jump in the Park ?
( paraglider collapse at 20 meters caused by weather )
Hey man hope your healing up alright . I've had several friends seriously hurt flying paragliders.
What dhv wing do you fly , what kind of collapse and what was the weather doing ?
It'll open fine, I've had 3 month+ layoffs with packed sport and BASE rigs.
I think if you were to fly a wingsuit even a really loose shoulder would still not dislocate. The arm wing would keep the shoulder in a very safe position the entire time.
Jimmy,
Is this the first case of someone being busted at the BCOG ? Isn't Tom Tancredo, CO congressman on our side? The BCOG would be the perfect place for legal jumps, I wonder how many people actually go down into the canyon, climbers and hikers each season to view this spectacular work of nature ? Let us know how it turns out.
BASE jumping is not a crime.
Load, exit and flight plan ?
in Wing Suit Flying
Scott, what are your thoughts on that "out and back" pattern for multiple groups ? I think my first scenario was maybe a bit much, but here's the thing, at our DZ there are more and more WS all the time and I was just looking for some ideas on exit and flight patterns.
Thanx to all for the input
