Ratings and Rigging

  1. Did 2 jumps and now it's off to work. Yep, there going to make me fly in that wind tunnel thing again
  2. Paige is dead on (as usual. SVAZ doesn't pay much money, but there are health benefits plus a little time to fly.
  3. You can also tell the instructor you want to work on entrances for a whole 2 min flight. This gives you the opportunity to do 10-15 entrances and you'll probably find yourself relaxing more and thinking less.
  4. Looking through the Perris Instructors, it looks like they are signed off for supported head down. Derek Is anyone signed off for teaching intermediate head down?
  5. It's hard to feel sorry for a man who owns his own aircraft. One being a Mig if I remember correctly. I would probably agree, if it was a Mig. But it isn't, and it costs about 1/4 of the price of an Otter.
  6. Is every old jumper named Bob. We have a bullet Bob (Bob Cragen) around here too. He did his first jump in 1962. Jumps almost every weekend, then does a little head down in the tunnel just for fun. Then there is Bob Sinclair, first jump in 1945. Not sure if he is jumping this year, but did 2 jumps with him last year. Damn him and his accuracy canopy. Always makes you bet a dollar and always wins. So far!
  7. The tunnel is now operational. When the website is back up you can see pictures of the flight instructors and soon they will post the pictures of Airspeed's first flight. The instructors have two and half more weeks of training. So, tunnel time should be available shortly thereafter. One other note, every person who comes out of there says the same thing. "Wow, the power is amazing!"
