  1. Hello Everyone, I'm trying to put together a 4 way team to hopefully compete in CSL. Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences to share on putting together a team, training or anything else? I'm still pretty young in this sport and would like to get some more thoughts on teams etc. ...or should I just shut up and stick with the horny gorilla formations? ---- Sushi, Sex, and Skydiving - the breakfast of champions
  2. 100th jump... To bad we didn't have any pies... Can we go on a tracking dive now?! ---- Sushi, Sex, and Skydiving - the breakfast of champions
  3. I'm hopeing this is the right place to post this question. I've known a number of people to jump other DZ's after AFF and before their A License... Does any one know a 'Rule of Thumb' as to when it might be a good time to start jumping other DZ's or things to watch out for when jumping other DZ's? Thanks! ---- Sushi, Sex, and Skydiving - the breakfast of champions

  5. Dr. Sky Psycho Dude... (DarrenSpooner) Way cool... Confront the anxiety ... not the jump... However it is written, I think this sport is an amazing way to blast into a monumental amount of self confidence. Especially, if it scares the sh*t out of you the first 2 or 3 hundred times... mnobles : That sucks - This sport can do without the As*holes. Try to have fun - no matter what. It's your jump, your time, your cash. Make it fun. Jump and smile My 2 cents - I'll shut up now. ---- Sushi, Sex, and Skydiving - the breakfast of champions

  8. KolinskyDC - I After I biffed several landings I started looking at the horizon at about 50 ft. I flared at about the time the horizon looked the same as when I was standing on the ground. (I know I flared higher than a body length from the ground) but it worked great. The landing was so soft it made of for the last 3 biffed landings. I think what 'Cruzit' said really applies. Thinking back to the last 3 bad landings - I was focusing on the ground. It may take some time to refine but I prefer the softer landings to the 'feet, ass, head, eat dirt landings'

  10. Thanks for all the Welcomes! I'm sure I can quit anytime.... Newbies: How were your first jumps? What did you learn? What do you watch out for now? (From one newbie to another) Old timers: Any suggestions on canopy control for a newbie? I've flared to high a couple of times, and 'biffed' it... any suggestions as to what to look for prior/at flare time? ---- Sushi, Sex, and Skydiving - the breakfast of champions
