Man, If I would have thought this through. I would have hooked up the RV, headed down to Titusville, jumped today and watched em light the candle.

  2. B.S. Water, whether ultra purified or not is hypotonic to the body. Too much water is any form is deleterious to the organism ( that would be you ).

From the back it kind of looks like a minivan.

Um, John, my friend, looking alot like a soccer mom vehicle to me :S Almost, but not quite grounds to have your guy card taken away. :o

But, I'm sure it has a kick ass sound system.

  4. I have a 3 month gap in 98. I "worked" at the dropzone at the time.

You got friends here Kel, use em. You can say you worked for my company if ya want.

  5. I get such a kick outta that show. I have worked with residents and attendings who are just like some of those characters. To top it off, alot of the slang is real life teaching hospital stuff. If the general public really knew what went on behind closed doors of a hospital ... well, just leave it at that. :o

  6. Fill out your profile and drop me a message, I'll tell ya everything ya wanna know and the stuff ya probably wish ya didn't. And, PhreeZone summed it up pretty well. But, when ya live in it full time for going on 4 years, I passionately refer to my travel trailer as my "get away" vehicle. Never, ever, get blocked in at a dropzone! :P

  7. Kel, well that sucks. But if you really want it, by all means go for it.

In regards to a couple other comments made. Yes there is a nursing shortage, more significant than we had in the mid to late 80's. During that shortage I graduated with my associates and went straight to Trauma ICU which is rare. I got the ICU slot because I had lots of pre-hospital experience as a paramedic. But, when I got hired with the flight program, I was given two years to complete my BS as a condition of employment. The BSN is the standard now. AD and diploma programs are few and far between.

There is, as already mentioned, an instructor shortage. Reason for that is simple. It does require an MSN with few exceptions and a non-tenured faculty professor can expect to make around 60K give or take. That same nurse, can go to graduate school for anesthesia or nurse practitioner and easily top 100K.
