  1. My friend and I are from the UK. I completed my AFF sometime ago but was not current and my friend was interested in doing his AFF course. We found Eugene Skydivers through dropzone.com and decided to go there cause the location was good for us at the time and they sounded really friendly on the phone. I have been to dropzones in at least 5 different countries and I can honestly say that Eugene is one of the most relaxed, friendly and least pretentious places I've ever jumped. Urban took my mate through his AFF course and was an excellent teacher. He was laid back but still explained everything really well - so my much so that my (rather nervous) friend actually managed to get himself out of the plane on his first jump (I wasn't sure he really had the balls for it)!! I really can't say enough good things about this drop zone. All the guys working there were generous with their time, experience and facilities. We had great weather for the 3 days we were there and were able and encouraged to jump as much as we wanted to, there were always pilots and jumpmasters available. Also it's really cheap, especially compared to a lot of other drop zones in the US. It may not have a pool, bar, shop, hot tub, movie theatre, theme park and all the other things that seem to be mandatory at drop zones these days ... but as a result it doesn't have inflated prices .. and after all, surely you're going there to skydive - something they're pretty good at organising!! If you want to learn to skydive or just want to go and jump in a place where you will be treated with kindness, respect and generosity, whether you have 5 jumps or 5000, then I couldn't recommend anywhere more highly than Eugene Skydivers.
