I love traveling when I can whether it be a road trip to Vegas or down the coast, another region in the country, or another country if I can. England has been my biggest trip so far. I've been to Hawaii twice, but now that I'm a skydiver I'd like to skydive there someday.

I always do practice touches before leaving the plane and after, but now I realize I should do another PT after any flips, too.

Yesterday I did my 16th jump, my 6th solo. I had previously been using a 200, but used the 220 because the other wasn't available, and an instructor agreed the 220 might help out my landings which have been sucky lately. The 220 rig is big on my body, and I need to make sure the straps are really tight. The 15th jump went well. On the next, I did a practice touch, but at pull time I reached and couldn't find the handle. My heart instantly starting beating about three times its normal rate. I pulled my hand away, then tried again, telling myself in those seconds, try once more then you must pull silver. But, I got it with my fingertips and threw it out.

Although I was scared, I realized that I knew what to do and went through those steps, not even thinking about any AAD. I knew it I couldn't find it the second attempt I would pull silver.

I know this may not seem like a big deal to experienced jumpers, but to me it was! This was a good learning experience... and I'm glad to be alive today.

The question I had once or twice is if I've had to use my reserve... not a stupid question, but I don't have that many jumps. I know it couldn't happen anytime, but it goes to show how whuffos see the sport. I also have been asked about the breathing which I find strange. On my first tandem I never even considered that... I mean I've hiked on a mountain at higher than 12,000 feet.

IMO, no one is under any obligation to to fulfill anyone's dreams other than his or her own.

Hopefully your father won't give you a hard time, but from what you said it seems that is just how he is, so try not to take his behavior personally. That's what I've learned to do with my father. I know that is easier said than done.

Personally I think a smooth chest and arms on a man is not as sexy as some hair; HOWEVER, in your case you say it's long and wispy... so... in this case I suggest you could have the back hair lasered off, like on Extreme Makeover.

For only 4 jumps I think you're being way to hard on yourself. I had a similar problem with spinning and found the wind tunnel to be a great deal of help. If you're near Perris, I suggest trying it.

The best fish and chips ever is that biker place on PCH in Malibu. I forget the name. Oh, I want to take a cruise!

I agree. They must be referring to straight belly flying. Also, as for me, I have to exert a lot of muscle power practicing my flares. The anxiety factor must play in to burning more calories, too.

What about Warheads? I like sour candy, too, and nothing I've tried has made me pucker more.
