  1. Update 05/08 The German Swooping Open 2006 will follow the WSA (World Swooping Association) rules. Merely slight adjustments to the possibilities available to us were made to ensure a fair competition … Thus following disciplines will be part of the GSO • Speed (2 rounds) • Distance (2 rounds) • Accuracy (2 rounds) • Freestyle (1 round) Each competitor will recieve the official GSO rules 2006 via eMail soon! Wingload regulation Moreover we have decided to use the official Wingload regulation table published by the WSA. This table is part of the rules and every competitor should know his maximum allowed wingload prior to the competition! Dominik | Team Swooping.de
  2. Hey Dave ;) I know about the new weight control rules and we will post an update on swooping.de in case we should decide to use it for the 2006 competition!
  3. Sure I am #hehe At least they do not set Announcment to a sticky and SkymonkeyOne said "Feel free to bump it to the top as often as you like (until people start bitching about it)." - So I am doing this
  4. We updated the english Version of the site so now it should be possible to register for everyone (as far as he is familiar with english)

  6. German Swooping Open 2006 From June 30th to July 2nd the German Swooping Open will take place at TAKE OFF Fallschirmsport in Fehrbellin (near Berlin) Everyone who is intrested to take part in the competition can register on http://www.swooping.de For any further questions/details you can contact me by eMail [email protected] Info about the German Swooping Open 2006 The GSO are arranged since 2003 and started with one competition divided in 2 events (lake and pond swooping). What started as a more private event for the local german swoopers was going to become a international event in 2005. The day before the competition in 2005 Nadine Farid (the main coordinator of the event) had a fatal accident during a high performance landing so we had to cancel the whole event. At this time it was doubtful that there would be a competition in 2006. Now we want to go on with the event and we would be happy to have swooper from around the world to participate in the competition. 2005 some had already registered (Jonathan Tagle, Brian Vacher …). Beginning of this year the dropzone in Fehrbellin has been totally renewed so we have everything here swooper need and if the weather is good it will be worthwhile to be there for sure ... We will do everything to organize the competition as good and professional as we can (we have quite experienced people here at the dropzone). But nevertheless it is no official swooping event (maybe in the future but we have to start small after everything had grind to a halt in 2005). So there is no tremendous cash price to win but fame and honor and a nice German Swooping Open 2006 trophy ... There will be further informations on the website soon and if you have registered we will send you everything important to know as soon as possible. The type of disciplines is not absolutly sure at the moment (because among other things we had problems with Speed measuring data in the past and we will adjust the type of disciplines according to the actual possibilities we will have; which is not totally clear at the moment) but Freestyle will be one of them! The entry fee will be about 60€ - There will be a qualifying round for everyone we do not know his skill level (exceptions are possible). For any further questions/details you can contact me by eMail [email protected] Would be awesome if one of the moderators could set this thread sticky for a while!

  8. Maybe I thought I am only pulling the A Lines but at least it worked ...
  9. Last weekend I played with only using the A Line and the Crossfire turns like hell (I also added harness inputs) ... I think I must get used to it but it is a good way to avoid the high frontriser pressure ... Anybody else has experience with this?
