  1. There are differences between scare mongers, like people who have told me for the last 25yrs that i'm a temporary citizen cos I ride motorbikes, and jumpers who talk about recent fatalities. If any of you have ever worked in the construction industry, you will know about Tool Box Tools. They are used to dicuss recent issues and highlight dangers Talking about these things 1; Helps people process the loss 2; keeps in mind that what we do has very real risks 3; Helps inform lessons we need to keep in mind. I read a BPA report on a fatality this year, and I talked about it with my instructor, which helped me to understand things I did'nt know. Lets hope we all stay safe.
  2. Thanks lads. I'll look at a cookie or G3 gear....
  3. Hey, I jump at London Parachute school. great bunch of people. I'm still using their gear, and will do till i finish AFF lv 8, but as I may be getting a new moto lid, I was wondering if it's an option... The Cookie Comp G2-3 look good as well, but dont know the protection level, plus the Shark lid looks Bad Ass!
  4. Hi all, I have a KTM 990sm, and was thinking of killing 2 birds etc, by getting a modern modular helmet,Shark Drak (Shark 'Raw' in U.S) in particular, that I could also use to jump with. I like the idea of a well protected Noggin, and a lot of skydiving helmets seem a bit flimsy. I have seen some posts on this form back in 2003, but things have moved on quite considerably in helmet design and materials since then. Does anyone jump with a light weight, modern moto lid? Thanks for any help.
  5. Can't make it hyperlink, sorry http://the-toast.net/2014/05/23/what-color-is-your-parachute-quiz/
  6. Hey all! I did 1 jump when I was a young'in, then through my 20's (when I thought I was the the lizard King) and living in several different countries, I didn't do another. Now I'm a bit older, ahem', I thought I'd do it for real this time so gave it another go. OMG! How awesome is it?!! Now I'm hooked. I'm already looking at spending money I don't have, on gear I don't need..... Can't wait till I'm A1 + 200! Hopefully see some of you at a Boogie or two!
