  1. Or because the Speed uses a different, thinner, fabric, so therefore packs smaller? You're probably right. I haven't seen one yet. Just going with what my rigger reckons. Do you have any experience with it? Perhaps of a 150 in a V308? I have a 308. At those sizes you really need to step up to a larger container. Stop trying to cram the biggest shit in the smallest container you think will fit. How's your OP126 fit then? Should be loose according to the chart...

  3. Fair enough! Asking around, it seems like the OP143 fits, some batches better than others, but then it would be a tough to pack a main like a 135 for when you wingsuit. It looks like the Speed 150 somehow fits the tray better. Might have something to do with the fact that, due to the different way of measuring the canopy area, the OP143 is more than 143 and the Speed 150 a bit less than 150.
  4. Lots of good info, thank you very much guys. Anyone has any experience packing a Speed 135 or 150 in a V308? I have read the UPT sizing chart, but I'm dubious. According to the PIA volume chart a Speed 135 packs like an OP126, which is supposed to be a loose fit in a V308. Edited to add: by Speed 135/150 I mean Speed 2000 135/150.
  5. Personally, I have...and I agree, they're great and very helpful. Miles ahead of other manufacturers I had to deal with. Nevertheless, I heard many conflicting opinions and hence the question. My rigger reckons he won't have an issue sticking an OP143 in a V308, others reckon it will fit but will be a brick. UPT themselves recommend coming up to Deland and asking around as much as possible to get a better idea. For me it's either the V308, 320, or 340. Issue being that I would like a larger reserve due to spending half of my time in a wingsuit. But, at only 5'8" and 150lbs the 340 might be slightly too long.
  6. I actually have the exact same question. Especially putting in an OP143 and a Sabre 2 135.
  7. That is a good point actually, made also by UPT themselves over the phone. Not sure about the new design as I haven't really seen one yet. Thoughts? (use it a lot for wingsuiting)
  8. Fair enough. For me specifically it would be a Sabre 2 135, in a container made for a 150. With the original bag it fits well, with the UPT one not sure. Having spoken to UPT they would like to know the internal measurements of the Mirage bag, so they can determine which U-Stow would be the most appropriate. They also have all of them in stock, while Mirage would have to make it specifically. Anyone has any experience with the Mirage semi-stowless? I'm sure it's great, but never really heard any comment, good or bad, about it while everyone seems to rave about the UPT one.
  9. Would a UPT U-Stow bag be ok? I ask because I have a Mirage, I'm thinking of going semi-stowless as well and deciding which bag to purchase. UPT bags obviously have slightly different shapes, but should fit well enough. Have heard great things about the UPT bags in all sorts of containers, but never really heard anything about the Mirage ones. Mirage's higher price and sub-par customer service play a role as well.
  10. Thanks for all the inputs guys. Very very helpful stuff.
  11. Thanks for the review. Very helpful. I come from a Sabre2 135 loaded at 1.29 and was thinking about a Xf3 129, which would be loaded at 1.35. Hopefully should be an ok transition for my level of experience (a bit over 300 jumps). Seems like a good option to slowly transition into higher performance canopies.
  12. As per title: anyone tried the new Crossfire3?
  13. The idea is to go to Moscow
  14. Hi all, I was thinking of buying 10 hours block time in the tunnel. I live some hours flight away from it and will be going initially for 5 days. Realistically, how many hours per day/week can one do before it becomes too much and unproductive? I'm in good shape and have done a few hours tunnel before, usually in 30 minutes blocks. I was wondering if it's unrealistic to do 4/5 hours in the 5 days I'll be there.
