    So far, no response.

    Back in the 90's I was a part time TM at a DZ that 'threatened' a pop quiz in a cup all the time...kind of a running joke.

    Until they DID IT :o ~ I worked full time a couple weeks until they could 're-staff' a fair number of refusals & failures. [:/]

    IMO - management wasn't real concerned with what folks did on their own time, but when it started to propagate on site they had to make a stand.

    I use to do a demo annually not far from where they're made. I'd always stop in at the factory and pick up a few pounds of 'Belly Flops' ...the poor guys that didn't make it through inspection because of their shape.

    All flavors mixed together - sometimes there would some 'interesting' ones in there! B|

    Dash of salt

    slug a nice shot of Woodford's Reserve, slightly chilled.

    It is time to revisit the truth. You all get so mired in cow Blevin that you fail to see the big picture. Here is what happened. Rataczak and McCoy hatched a plot to demonstrate how unsafe the pilot of an airliner was, and how easy it would be to take over an aircraft and do untold damage. Pilots were threatening a strike over these facts, and a new direction FAA was attempting to adopt laws through International Air Piracy Conferences in Japan and the Hauge, and Montreal. Action was slow at best. Nixon's boys got wind of the demonstration approved for our boys and switched the project fot their own purposes, to demonstrate to CONGRESS that they had to pass an unpopular bill for World safety. It was no longer just to show other airlines the importance of screening passengers and arming pilots. The project was taken off hold and came as a complete surprise to Rataczak. McCoy was called into action in a chase helicopter and shortly thereafter executed his share of the project in a second hijacking. Nixon declared an emergency and demanded Executive action and enacted the airline safety act approved by the world convention because our Congress WOULD NOT ACT!!!

    And THAT, boys and girls, is the real story behind Duane Weber's life as Dan Cooper and the reason he managed to stay hidden so well. It is also the reason you all get double-talk from the FAA, the FBI, and ever other axe-hole who thinks he's doing a service by touting some stupid suspect to make a buck or seem important.

    I know this to be fact, because it was my job to witness the project on behalf of Sgt. Richard Floyd McCoy, Jr. by order of Commander John W. Anderson, in lieu of 4 years in prison. Mac is still alive if you know how to check, ask him.

    Don't you just love a guy that comes to your DZ for the first time after making a whopping 50 jumps a half a dozen other DZ's only to open low (under 2000ft) and land off (N yeah I did pull him aside and gently slap his wrist)

    Then after waiting a whole hour ( oh my ) to make another jump on a subsequent day post a scathing review attacking me personally over a month later.

    I have NEVER posted to this forum before but I do call all of my experienced brethren to be on the lookout for "Duffimusprime" AKA Matt Vidurek

    ESPECIALLY those stafers at the Ranch to keep your eye out for this novice who thinks he knows everything about the sport after a whole year of skydiving this individual has taken it upon himself to make it personal so now its' my turn

    Mr V has the attitude and ego of the type many of us who have been around for a while have seen may times in the past

    One reserved for those typically carted away in an ambulance, helicopter or worse a body bag

    Yes I'm the "expert" at my DZ

    And when you come here prepare to check your ego at the door because I am EXTREMELY safety conscious.

    Hence the reason NONE of my students have EVER been injured and since my arrival at SSA that our fun jumper contingency remains loyal ( Screw you ex Mowhawk Valley jumpers) and the restaffing of the DZ we have reduced the overall number of injuries TO ZERO.

    SO 'Duffimusprime" the gauntlet has been laid Please take your attitude elsewhere

    People like you are not welcome at our DZ and I am sure that over time ( If you haven't already) you will find that your attitude is is unwelcome at any DZ our size.

    UNLESS you decide to head up to ADK which is now closed because their " expert" against the advice of many opened a DZ without any experience as an instructor and will now most likely lose his rating due to his total lack of competence

    You should fit in there just fine !! Next time you have a personal opinion about an individual perhaps you should approach them and deal with it face to face instead of being a whiny little baby and stomping your feet cause you didnt get your way

    NOOB you have been given my contact info and know my place of business

    Next time you attempt to slander be prepared for a rebuttal

    Nope. As told to me directly by Jacques Instel ( D-2 ) in 1965; they ( together ) made the decision that Lew would get D-1 because Lew was doing a lot more competing than Jacques was.

    Nothing more than that.

    I've met Lew Sanborn, and he looked older than dirt even back in the mid 90's. But, you know, just because he's D-1, doesn't mean he was the first to reach 200 jumps. All it means is that his application was the first one to get processed and there were what, a few hundred that rushed in when USPA announced their licensing system?



    Actually there was a drawing for D1 & D2.

    That said...I would think someone that made a jump in the 40's and continued on until this decade would be 'in the running' so to speak. I don't know when Lew made his first jump, but I know a guy that jumped on D-day and made his last jump a couple years ago. He now unfortunately has dementia - but that's what, 8 different decades Ole Jack made a leap in.

    I don't think he's the only one...and I find it hard to believe someone currently jumping would make 9.

    So do you support imprisoning women for having the audacity of having a miscarriage when their males potential child dies???

    I dunno...what SHOULD we do ~

    Currently in the local fish wrap,

    22 year old single woman, 2 kids (age 5 & 2), unemployed and on state aid, few months back had her 2nd miscarriage...1st one she had high levels of 3 illegal drugs in her system as did the fetus, 2nd one there were 4 different types of street drugs in both.

    She's now pregnant again...
