  1. Hi, This product is made for snow sports right now! While we designed our platform technology we kept in mind the 'needs' and requirements that other action sports like skydiving (that use helmets) required. Right now, we intend to branch out to these different areas later down the track. We have identified a need for an intuitive first class smart helmet system that does it all and allows the user to be safely and fully immersed in their action sport without being distracted by the tech. The technology we are using could be adapted to skydiving but first our Alpine helmet must be a success on Kickstarter in order for us to happen. Cheers, Jeremy
  2. Right now they are USD $649 if bought individually and they are as sold as low as USD $529 if you buy a ten pack. That is only through Kickstarter. The Helmet is going to be sold at retail for USD$799 later on.
  3. Hi Guys, I work for a startup and we just launched a kickstarter for the world's first smart helmet. Here is the link below: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1285447401/forcite-alpine-first-smart-helmet-for-snow-sports?ref=nav_search Let me know your thoughts if you want. Cheers, Jeremy L.
  4. hi im a skydiver who holds australian 'a' licence. i have 165 jumps. 130 of them i did in a 4 week period in october. i havent jumped since then due to an injury but im recovered now. 5 months of no sky diving :( i have a uspa membership. no uspa licence. i have done the uspa b licence exam and canopy course excl. water training and have the accuracy logs. what is the process and costs for getting current again. i really would like to get the uspa 'c' licence? do i need to do the uspa 'a' licence requirements with an instructor? Also im in mexico, guadajara. so if you have any recommended dz. please spill. any advice, help appreciated. thanks in advance. looking forward to blue skies.
  5. Hi there, Thanks for pointing that out. I was freaking out for a sec . So i triple checked the policy they sent me. That paragraph is not in there. A similar one is but it includes the USA. You can purchase USA coverage or rest of world coverage exl USA. So it depends which policy you purchase. I spoke to a rep at global underwriters and as special consideration they will cover me in the USA and Canada and add rock climbing (Sweet!). Direct from my policy .... " $ 1,000,000.00 – Accident and Sickness Medical Life Time Maximum $ 100.00 - Deductible Co Insurance - 100% up to the policy maximum outside USA or 80% of the first $5,000 in the USA then 100% up to the policy Life Time maximum ............. " Cheers
  6. ive decided to go with diplmat medical insurance. They also have covered me for rockclimbing and snowboarding which is pretty cool. cheers.
  7. That is a shame. I see that. I guess Australians are higher risk?
  8. Thanks for your comment JeffCa. I just read through world nomads policy. They only cover tandem skydiving. Maybe its been changed recently? That's a shame if it is. they look very legit and my friend recommended them as well. I'm hoping to work towards getting my b license then hopefully my c license while there so ill be jumping quite a bit. If it was a one off i wouldn't bother with insurance.
  9. Hi there I am an Aussie going to travel to the USA for a year, I want to jump there but I would like the comfort of medical insurance. Does anyone have any experience in this area? I'm currently looking at diplomat medical insurance. Does anyone know about that provider? Thanks
