  1. No problem with that. I went with a buddy for my first jump, It was his fifth. I called him up to go with me for my second be he had plans. I said to hell with it, I'm going anyway. Gixxer, I'll be taking my class before you but we're probably end up seeing each other at the dropzone at some point, probably in May. I'll let you know next time I'm headed that way.
  2. Absolutely! I'm nearing the end of the construction project I'm on and my employer has told me they'll let me take a full week off. I hope to take the class either the second or third week in April. I may have to go do my TL2 again so that I don't break the 30-day currency, but I am definitely taking the class.
  3. Someone owes me a new Logitech G510 keyboard, G500 mouse, M Audio AV-40s, Samsung LCD monitor, etc.
  4. Last week I did my second Tandem at the same facility. I'm planning on starting their STP program here in the next two or three weeks. If you can do the same, I'd be happy to meet up and have an STP buddy. Who was your tandem instructor?
  5. Nightingale, that was an awesome story. Thank you for sharing that experience for a newbie like me to read. Outstanding post. Many kudos.
  6. Shoot, a fella' could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff.
  7. Howdy. New to the sport, found these forums, thought I'd drop a line, etc. I called up a work buddy a few weeks ago. Asked him if he wanted to golfing on Saturday. In reponse, he asked me if I wanted to go skydiving Saturday and go golfing on Sunday. I said, "Okay!" I've been into all kinds of adrenaline-fueled sports: downhill skiiing, mountain biking, caving, climbing, paintball, etc... nothing compares to the adrenaline rush of freefall. Simply outstanding. My two jumps were both with Donny Leach of Skydive Spaceland, Houston. Outstanding dude, great instructor, very calming and informative. Couldn't have asked for a better instructor. My plan right now is to take Spaceland's "License in a week" course to get my A license sometime in the next month or so. I'm thrilled to join such a phenomenal community and activity. I look forward to many future jumps, hopefully with members of this forum. I'll keep you posted with my progress. Until then, crystalline skies.
