Yes, elliptical, short recovery arc. -
Curious; how are you finding the accuracy? Since the 2.7 firmware update, the FF time calculation has improved (used to be way off), but I am noticing about 170ft difference between the Alter and my VisoII. Not a big deal during FF, but under canopy 170ft is quite a bit! -
That's unfortunate. I also was one of the lucky ones, then, as I did receive my order and they were always pretty quick to respond to questions, etc. -
I can't answer this question directly, but you might find this resource useful:

Agreed, it's pretty easy to install and use; makes for very quick adjustments.QuoteDudeist Skydiver #000
Dudeist skydiver...as in 'like, that's just your opinion, man' skydiver? -
I recently bought one of these, put about 18 jumps on it so far. Really liking the device. It's accurate and easy to read in freefall and under canopy. Customer support is really good as well, they always respond quickly and are open to feedback. -
John,
I did ask him, he said he has over 10k tandems. Quite possible I am mistaken, though, it was a text conversation; maybe he thought I said 1000.

I've jumped at Mesquite last time I traveled to Vegas. Great little dropzone, good DZO, fun people. I really like the views as well. It's the desert, but, I find it stunning. -
Aidan Walters in Canada has over 10,000 tandems.

Do you have a link to the boogie info? Or did you hear about this through someone else? -
Anyone see any benefit to putting something like Dr Scholl's Active Series insoles in your shoes? Could this help long term knee and ankle wear/impact from running out landings?
Granted, I totally agree proper landing technique is paramount. -
There's a guy at my dropzone who made a windbreaker (jacket) out of an old Tempo reserve! -
There's a couple really nice ones in the interior of British Columbia.
Okanagan Skydive in Vernon
North Okanagan Vertical Adventures (NOVA) in Salmon Arm -
I also heard that boogie is going to be in Playa del Carmen in February, but nothing has been posted yet. -
Under canopy, I am pretty sure it's possible.
In free fall, though....I don't know of many birds that cruise above 500 feet, unless migrating, but I could be wrong.... -
If you're going to be in that area, check out Ramblers Parachute Centre. It's about 90 minutes inland from Brisbane. Pretty much a sport jumper's paradise. They don't do many tandems there, as I think most people prefer to jump at places like Byron over the beach.
Byron is a cool place to jump, though as you mentioned, it's a tandem factory. It's hard to get on a load sometimes, but they do allow sport jumpers there. -
shibu***Pilot 188 fits fine in I-45
My first rig was I-45. I fitted up to sabre 2 210. all the way down to vx 119.
I have an I-45 with a Pilot 168ZPX in it right now. How did you fit a 119 in an I-45? Did you have to add padding to the packing tray to keep it from becoming too loose?
A VX is a cross-braced canopy; it packs larger than a non-cross-braced. -
I've never jumped a Spectre, but I agree with what others say about the Pilot openings- soft and predictable. Sabre 2 can be interesting at times, to say the least.... -
I like to ride the slide. I also like rear float/poised exit. -

End cell closure is another story. My opening sequence goes: Pull, visual check of my airspace, grab rear risers and PUMP PUMP PUMP to get slider down and end cells open, then move on with the canopy flight. Every. Single. Time.
^ This, for sure. I never had a hard opening on a Sabre2, though there was always an annoyance to clear once opened. Great canopy, though; fun to fly and awesome flare. -
I'm pretty sure they are making one that is similar to the Viso wrist mount band. I'm not sure when they are expected to be released. -
Check Aerodyne's website:

They have stock containers, reserves and mains -

I had to have my hardware removed as well, at about the 8 month mark after the original ORIF surgery. There was grinding and clicking on the tendons in my wrist, causing pain in my fingers and palm. Doc said 15% of hardware needs to be removed- shitty luck for me. I was in and out of day surgery and back jumping in three weeks. Packing was very difficult, though, as I had very little strength in that hand. It turned out to be good exercise, though, as I gained my strength back quickly.
Still doing physio to help break up the scar tissue and work on RoM. I'm at about 80%. As someone else mentioned, though, I don't expect to get 100% back. My wrist/hand will never be the same. Docs also mentioned it's likely I will end up with arthritis in that hand/wrist.
