PROGRESSIVE 0 #1 November 12, 2006 Is there any demand, or advantage in mounting a regular 35 mm camera to a FF2 helmet, rather than a digital camera, or are those days long gone? I want to include stills with my video helmet, and I have a perfectly good 35 mm camera, but am I just better off purchasing a digital camera? BlueSBDeath 2 #2 November 12, 2006 Pete, Most of us were 35mm guys first, but with a digital camera I now can preview my shots, burn to a CD and give to the customer now. With film, you will have to give the film away, and never see your shots, or have them processed and give to the customer some time later. It is far easyer to go with digital, IMHO, I now also have CDs of all my pictures I have taken. Instant gradification!! JohnRet 0 #3 November 12, 2006 Unless you're doing tandem video, then I'd stick with the 35mm for now. There's nothing stopping you switching to digital if you need to in the future. Stick the 35mm on and play around with it, you might find it's perfect for what you're doing. Or you might start to see the advantages of digital. An advantage is that you have the pictures in your hand after they've been developed, they're tangible. Whereas, when they're stored on a computer, you actually have to go thorugh the effort of having them printed. Digital will win every argument though, it's just a case of if you can afford it :)
mwabd1 0 #4 November 13, 2006 I have a rebel 35mm and a 20D, I use the 35mm for tandems unless its a friends friend or a special pasenger.......to much money to risk losing on a tandem! However it is nice to see the shots and have a copy........I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!
PROGRESSIVE 0 #5 November 15, 2006 Thanks for the advice. I'll get the adaptor to mount on my FF2 and a cutaway system. I will most likely get the bite switch for snapping pictures. Pete
