iam 0 #1 February 5, 2003 Has any one seen or used an Icarus jumpsuit from South Africa. I'm looking to get myself a camera suit and they are extremly competitively priced. http://www.icarus.co.za/jumpsuit.asp Just looking for opinions. Spinetto 0 #2 February 5, 2003 I know three people with Icarus camera suits. Two of them needed lots of repair work within about 50 jumps. The other one has had no problem and has 200+ jumps on it so far. I think it's worth spending the extra money if you can for a suit with a proven record. QuoteYou get what you pay for. Poczynek 0 #3 February 5, 2003 Iam, I picked up an Icarus RW Bootie suit last year, and I am extremely pleased with the suit. Material used is good, booties well constructed and fit excellant. Best of all the price was way beyond competitive. The year prior I purchased a Bev suit - great suit but at close to 3 bills. I paid less then 100 for the Icarus - watch the US / Rand exchange rate though - it do make a difference. Cheersphat, dumb & happy
puffdaddy 0 #4 February 8, 2003 I have four of them. The free-fly suit is an old very baggy design. The comp RW suit and camera suit works just fine. My oldest suit is now 9 years old and the only thing I had to replace was a busted zipper on the bootie. The spandex on the back now needs a replacement and then I will probably jump it for another 9 years. I olso had one or two of the "pop" studs on the closure tag on the booties that came undone. But at less than $100 I do not mind paying the $1 replacement cost. Their service is also very good."
