johnny1488 1 #1 April 14, 2003 Hey, where is that wind drift calculator online where you can type in what type of groups get int the plane, what altitude they exit at, when they pull, what the wind is honking at-THEN get a great animated show of what will happen? KillerKimmy 0 #3 April 15, 2003 Thats not the one, thanks for trying though. It gives you the ability to put in your fields yourself such as number of people in the group, Free flyers, belly flyers and so on. Then there is a graph (kinda) with a plane above and a dotted line showing where everyones path goes to.
KillerKimmy 0 #4 April 15, 2003 Holy cow I just realized I replied to TOM!!! Hi:) I was so glad when you talked about that drift calculator at the saftey meeting. I really thought you were talking about the other one that John found. Now John has to go look for it again. It's actually a bit more in depth from what I remember than the one on that link you left. But thanks for posting so fast:):):)

I think the one you are talking about can be found at http://www.iit.edu/~kallend/skydive/ A Powerpoint discussion about the topic can be found at: http://www.omniskore.com/kallend/slide_1.htmTom Buchanan Instructor Emeritus Comm Pilot MSEL,G Author: JUMP! diverdriver 5 #6 April 15, 2003 You can also go to the powerpoint presentation at: http://www.iit.edu/~kallend/skydive/#resources I highly recommend the powerpoint presentation because it explains so much about the physics in layman's terms.Chris Schindler www.diverdriver.com ATP/D-19012 FB #4125
