Skolls081102 0 #1 September 1, 2005 I called my home heating oil company today to see if I could get them to come top off my tank (before the price for oil goes through the roof). She looks at my records (I get a .02 cent discount for having an account set up with them) and she tells me that I only need about 50 gallons to top off the tank. She explains that they don't do deliveries that small (I'm due for a delivery in December). So she tells me to hold for a second- a minute later she gets on the phone and tells me that she can lock me in right now at the current price ($2.69/gallon) until next May. I asked her what the catch was, and she said there wasn't one. Basically, no matter how high oil prices get, I pay $2.69/gallon- if prices drop below that, I get it at the lower price. I think that was pretty damn nice of them. Especially being, that I am pretty sure there are companies out there that are doing some nice price gouging. The sole intention, is learning to fly.Condition grounded, but determined to try.Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies.Tongue tied and twisted, just an Earth bound misfit.
