Why bother with measuring c? When you're looking at the top at a 45° angle, a and b are equal...(for example, when you're looking at the top of an A at a 45° degree angle, the distance to its base is the same as its height)
Or does this have another use that I can not grasp with my yet-untainted-by-BASE mind?

Easy one for you jerry,How do you know where 45° is?

Distance and height can be the same thing, the diff comes by inviting gravity to partake.

you can check out the clinometer and laser here, on page 20-23. There is no more information on the website, so send me a PM or contact someone else at Haglöf Sweden ([email protected]) if you have any questions! :)

Can any of you guys take a guess how high this A is? I got pictures from a wuffo friend who is living near it.
I believe that Tom B. from ABA jumped it, if I remember correctly.

Thanks.

I don't have idea. Friend that lives near say "it is realy tall" but he is a wuffo and I doubt his ability to assess altitude.
