Very Exciting experience... a little wait time but it is definitely worth it

Always wanted to jump and never wanted to go tandem. Finally decided to go with little prodding from my girlfriend before I knew it I was in my 8 hour class to do my first jump. Once out there no words can explain the exhilaration fear and fun this sport can be. Bud Prenatt is a very knowledgeable instructor and pro, after being introduced at Start to other jumpers and pro's its like a family no negative things to say they really make you feel like home there. I will be getting my License to fly from this DZ for sure.

One of the best moments of my life! I guess it would have been nice to have a little warning about air pressure, my ears hurt pretty bad, but outside of that, it was an incredible ezperience. Great staff, they all seemed to enjoy their job which really comes across to settle uneasy nerves of first time jumpers. I would definitely recommend Start Skydiving! Middletown to anybody. Actually we're going again in August.

After having some issues with weather. They happily rescheduled my appointment. It went very quick, they were thorough and to the point. It was so much fun!

I visited Startskydiving last summer and it was my first time trying such a unique experience. I had never been skydiving before and didnt have any idea what to expect. Upon arrival I went through a short training course and video and before I knew it it was my turn to be fitted with my jump gear. Shortly after a brief review of the jump process with my instructor we were boarding the plane and up in the air. It was an incredible experience that is very difficult to put into words and all I have thought about since is my next jump which I will be enjoying very soon. I recommend a tandem jump to any beginner who may be curious about skydiving. Startskydiving was a terrific place to give it a try, and rest assured I will be back. Staff was great and I felt safe and informed about my jump throughout the process. Great time.

Loved our experience with Start Skydiving. The staff was great. We felt safe, but also had a great time! They made the best of the weather we had and added personality to the day. Dan Pags was a great instructor, very friendly, fun, and made the experience incredible. I could easily make a habit of returning!!!

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Start Skydiving! I did my first tandem skydive jump with them and it was perfect!! I was nervous at first but the staff kept me very calm and they were so excited about jumping with me! They made the whole experience so much fun and I cannot wait to go again!

This was our first time and it was everything I hoped for. The team was great to talk with and the wait was not very long at all.

Took my son to their facilities for a graduation present. The smile on the boy's face was priceless. We will be going back and all will jump at that time with them. The personal there is good to talk to and are very helpful with your questions and placing the equipment on. Their vid's that they make for your are high quality and are fun to watch over and over again. Thanks for placing a smile on my sons face. You guys are the best, Thank-you....

My sister and I went for her 18th birthday! We had an amazing time!! Scott was amazing! it couldnt have been more fun! you MUST MUST MUST get the video and pictures!!! worth every penny!

This was my first skydiving experience. I was acknowledged within a minute of my arrival at the main office.I filled out my paperwork and waited for my friend. As soon as he finished his paperwork, we were immediately shown the instructional video. Then the waiting began!

We really didn't wait too long after watching the video... perhaps about 45 minutes. That was okay, because we got to meet and speak with our instructors and do the interviews for our videos. I did a tandem jump with my awesome instructor Gila! He was very nice and explained things very thoroughly.

I had a great time overall. I would definitely go back.

I visited Start Skydiving for my first ever jump. My friend researched all the places within a few hours drive of Columbus. He was impressed with the reviews & safety record of Start, so he booked us a jump. Although I was a little nervous, I was quickly calmed by the professionalism of the entire staff. They were courteous, knowledgeable & willing to answer any questions we had. There was little time between our sign-in & the first steps towards our jump. I received sufficient time with my instructor before I got suited up & harnessed. Gila was very excited to learn that I had never jumped before. He made sure I understood the process & felt comfortable in the gear. We watched a short training video & went outside for our plane to taxi back in. There was little wait time before we were directed to enter the plane. The plane loaded up & we were off. During the brief ride to altitude, Gila again walked me thru the procedure. The gate was raised & we began to exit. I watched excitedly as my friend dropped a few passengers before me. When it was my time, Gila counted down & I fell. It was incredible! Gila warned me before he pulled the chute. It got a little crazy at first, but once the chute was opened, we peacefully glided back to Earth in about 6-7 minutes. Gila once again walked thru the landing. We stuck the landing & slid to a stop. Once unbuckled, I gleefully enjoyed the "astronaut walk" back to the hanger, exchanging high-fives & outcries of excitement with my friend who had returned to Earth just prior to me.
It was slightly cloudy that day, so visibility was not the best it could have been. I would say that was the only downside, and it had nothing to do with Start. During the fall, I was told you could usually see Cincy, into KY & also Wright-Pat Airbase.

For someone being scared of doing anything like this I showed up to a good group of people and and even thoe I kept saying this is a bad idea everyone kept telling me that it was going to be the best thing that I have ever done lol and it was I had a blast

This was my first of many jumps to come I am glad to say. The staff was amazing from the moment that we walked in the door to the time that we received our videos. I would highly recommend Start Skydiving to anyone who has thought about doing a tandem jump!

Extremely unorganized at the front office.
Call in before 5hr drive and all ok, arrived and stated they were completely booked out. John helped and got me on a nice jump !

Next day worked out better but now I hear from another drop zone, that I owe them money ! I paid daily and have credit card statement to prove.

Organization improvement is a must for the front office.

Otherwise, a great jump experience and nice area. Once you leave the front office then all is perfect. Cold held Subway was available to eat :-)

May 5th I had my first tandem jump. My g/f got me a jump for a christmas gift. i've always been afraid of heights or falling but i wasn't nervous at all. til maybe that first step haha. I really like this place and wish it wasn't 3.5 hours away. I hope to return next month. Once i get money i want to go for AFF. Everyone was really nice. The camera people and tandem guys made us feel very comfortable. It was a very cloudy day and we had to wait around 8 hrs. Once it was time everything happened fast and it was totally worth the wait. All i can think about now is skydiving

This was one of the most exciting adventures I have ever experienced. I was able to check this off my bucket list. The amazing instructors helped create such a wonderful and inviting experience.

The staff was very comforting, and very knowledgable with everything during the process of learning to skydive for the first time.

What an AMAZING adventure at STARTSKYDIVING in Middletown. From the moment we arrived we were treated by courteous and knowledgeable staff. After meeting Cameron my Videographer and Tandem Instructor Gil I knew it was going to be a blast. Though extremely nervous I was assured all would be safe and we would have a great time. It was everything I imagined!!! They both went above and beyond to make sure I had a good time. I had a blast at Start Skydiving in Middletown, OH!! It was my second jump there and it gets better every time! My mom came for her first jump and she LOVED it! I recommend you come jump here if you want to sky dive. Start Skydiving will be my new home this summer! -Jonathan Hopkins

My daughter had jumped just the week before... I of coarse said I'll have to go next time! She said OK Tuesday?
And there it was set in stone I'm gonna jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
Everyone there was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The facilities were nice and clean. It was easy to put my life in their hands.

With all the people around and jumps going off about every hour, I was able to see what other people did and how they enjoyed their jump. Also my instructor, Dan, did everything to keep me calm and excited! LOVED it and am ready to jump MORE!

Dan P was my instructor, and he was awesome, as was Gila, my photographer! Great group of people who are hilarious and make you feel so comfortable! They were very calm which made it impossible to be nervous.
