My curve has the original two Tab handle on it and the pulls were incredibly hard, causing instability, so I sent it back and got the hacky instead. I'm much happier but I'm glad to see they made a design change to the single tab.

I've jumped both for several hundred jumps. Currently on a crossfire. Just never jumped them at an equal loading. Shopping for my wife. She is competent yet "conservative." So, I'm mainly wondering if the flare that I enjoy on the crossfire will translate to her lighter loading or if the Safire will provide a better bottom end since it's in the middle of its loading range.
Also seeking opinions on those openings ant a lighter loading.

So it's the minimum recommended loading for the crossfire. The question is, will it perform better or worse than a Safire at the same loading?

I've put approximately 40 jumps on my new Curv. In the last 10-15 jumps, one or another of the tuck tabs pops open. I only freefly, so it's rather important to me that they remain closed. Has anyone else had this issue? Has there been any rumor or discussion regarding a final design for these?

Am having a new container built and would like a longer chest strap. I'm not planning on doing any laid out superman swoops, but would like to have enough length to allow for full expansion of risers and such.

What's a good formula for deciding on strap length?

No we don't. Someone, at some point, comes along and slaps our hand and say, "Don't you do that! That's dirty!" Or catches is playing "Doctor" With Johny or Katie, and tells us how shameful we are and that we can't play with them anymore.
Until that indoctrination occurs, we were happy to explore ourselves and one another.
The "immorality" of those situations is taught. It's definitely not our natural inclination.

It's not the actual execution that is so expensive - it's all the legal wranglings leading up to it.

The laws should be overhauled so that clear cut, caught red handed BS like this gets the proper treatment.

+100 on that last sentence! That applies to everything. Hell, some mornings I wake up cranky and then just make a decision to be in a good mood. It's my choice right? And it almost always works out that I am in a good mood.

We can convince ourselves of damn near anything. Just change your focus to the positive until it sticks.

Less wind noise.
Calmer environment.
No need for goggles.
Jumping in cold weather is FAR more pleasant.
Protection against face strikes.

New designs have stronger face shields and are easily opened during climb and under canopy to deal with fogging issues.

Choose a good one and you won't regret it.

One issue to consider is patience. At 215lbs, you're not light, but at 6'7" you should have a LOT of range. It will take time to learn to fly your body. I'm 6'1" and 200lbs and although faster than some, I can fall with a wide range of jumpers because I'm tall and am learning to use that length.
Jumpsuits are a valuable tool! However, you may find yourself buying a different one as you gain more body control.

Reviving a very old thread. I have begun to encounter this very issue.
Are there any new insights into this problem? Is the switch still the most likely culprit? One of the guys at the dz thought my kit lens might be having an auto focus issue. I'm trying manual focus all day tomorrow to check.

Has anyone actually jumped one of these yet? Opinions? I'm definitely intrigued and it's good looking.

Yeah, I've pretty much decided I need wings.
It's not cool factor for me but rather, I want simplicity and don't like feeling confined.
I suppose it's just a matter of getting used to wings.
Will you bring your jacket next time you come up?

I'm 6'1" and fluctuate between 190 and 200lbs. I noticed last season that I could get away with using my double layered freefly suit for about 75% of tandems but for those lighter pairs, I needed a wing jacket. I'd actually really prefer not to wear wings but will if it's the best practice overall. I do like the idea of wings so that I can sitfly with tandems but it's low on my list.
Anyway, how many of you are in the same boat and what's your gear of choice? Do you wear bigger suits or suits with fabric that produces more drag? And if you do wear a wing, which type?
