  2. Lets see...you blew off a quiz....you blew off the final...hmmm and you didnt get the grade that YOU think YOU deserve...maybe you ought to consider that you f'd up. Once you graduate and find a job you wont be able to 'blow off' when the boss expects you to perform your job. If you worked for me and you pulled that shit you'd be filing for unemployment. Class A performers perform. Consider yourself lucky you got at passing grade. Take some personal responsibility...the only person who screwed you was YOU...

  3. I suggest getting yourself competently measured first. Then go shopping. Within a few phone calls you will start to find out who is willing to work with you on price. Keep in mind these are 'for profit' businesses and survive on their sales margin so I am sure you may get different quotes. Consider contacting some of the dz's around your area also. My home dz passes along the full dealer discount and doesnt take a profit.

  4. Since it is a carry on and I put it in the overhead I havent had a problem. I do use pull up cords to tie my leg straps up and across the front of the rig. It keeps it together and I like to think it keeps my handles a little more secure.
Once the flight attendant closes everything I get up and make sure it hasnt been jammed with some one elses luggage.

  5. I put mine in my gear bag. Serves as a carry-on, plus it keeps my other gear with me. If they lose my luggage I can buy more clothes, I dont like taking that risk by checking my rig. That and the fact that if TSA wants to look over my rig I am standing there. If I check it in, they look at it without me being there and these genius' just might pull on something they shouldnt...

  6. I know of two people that this has happened to. One just two weeks ago, the jumper has been sidelined by his Dr so he can rehab the shoulder so as to minimize the chances of it happening again. The second had it happed two or three times during RW that she had to quit the sport.
I suggest you listen to the dr and follow their suggestions on time away and rehab. You can complete AFF once your body is ready.

  7. It happened to me on my 73 jump. At my pull altitude I toss the PC and waited, and waited. The delay was caused by my PC either coming uncocked or I didnt cock it in the first place. Either way I was burning up altitude, and then my training took over. With 'ah, shit' going through my head, it was LR, GR, LL, GL, peel/ punch, peel/punch. A few seconds later I was under the most beautiful yellow canopy...

I have had a total of 3 reserve rides. The first one made me the most nervous as it was something I'd never done. It wasnt panic for me, more of loathing. I wont say it gets easier to go to reserve after the first one, but I have learned to trust my equiptment.

  8. In Memphis we're paid $75 per tandem regardless of weight, fitness, or height. We are well paid so I wouldnt expect a 'fat fee' anytime soon.
