i had a the same situation this past saturday. i pitched at 3000' flying straight but with 3 twist on opening. i tried to kick out, it only got worse, before i chopped i had 7 twist and was spiraling on my back. i cut away at 2000' (i actually looked at my altimeter when i cut) popped the reserve and all was well. for the record i have 559 jumps, i jump a sabre1 (135) pd 143(R) and the suit was a "semi" sm1. to say the least it was interesting.

didn't they do that on loony tunes?

we always here about the blade sm1 and ghost, but what about the frenchies suits? i know some people tried them at f&d 3.5, i didn't try one, but i'm intrested to know what people thought about the flights they had in them. anyone, anyone?

at the moment not sure if i can make PB, but im coming to 4.0. trying to make both happen. wish me luck

it's an old version of the mach1 (old style inlets), but i can't remember the guys name that flew it. anybody?

On your original suits, the wings were held by an RSL clip and a velcro strip on the bottom portion of the wing, then on the newer suits the bottom portion was sewn, with the velcro moved to along the arms.
If you replace the sewn part with cables and loops, with the handles
being at the hips/laterals, so that the jumper could pull the cables up
rather than down( reaching past the knees on the SM1 would be hard)
then the jumper could release enough of the wing to be able to reach
their risers.
The top portion of the wing would still be zippered on, and the cables would only have to be hooked up once then left alone.

hey tony, you can still have the top zipper but the bottom (which is attached) would be the cut away taps. allowing you to have better reach for your toggles or problem. sounds like a good option?

anything eles anybody planning on bringing?

i would if i could but i can't so i won't. or i might.

this past weekend i didn't get on the plane till almost fully loaded. so i was at the very back of the otter. nobody said anything to the pilot, i asked him where jumprun is and all the directions and told him mine before the load went on a call. after the one tandem left i got to the door and the plane started to dive, so i yelled, and both pilots turned around competely surprised to see me. needless to say i'm alive but you can never inform everybody enough.
