If I get my license in a different state than the one I live in, will I not be able to use that license in my own region? Will I not be allowed to jump? Or do licenses not even say the state you get them in? -
I hate it when people say "African Americans" out of fear of being called racist. Be honest: how many of us here go around saying "black people" instead of "African Americans"? *raises hand* If I ever use that term in front of my black friends they look at me like a moron.
And as for the actual technical correctness of the term, it actually is right. When someone says ________ American, they say it because they themselves were born in America, but their ancestors weren't. I'm Italian American. I was born here (my parents too) but my grandparents in Italy. -
Yes, I've already asked about my age while talking to a secretary on the phone. I'm paying $175 for the jump and $30 for gear. It seems pretty steep.
BTW, are there restrictions for getting a license? -
I've always been interested in extreme sports, but I've never tried skydiving (my mother wouldn't let me). But this year I'm serious about it. I got my own job and I'm going to pay for my lessons by myself, and my dad is going to be the one driving me to the center.
Do you guys have any advice for my first jump?
Oh, and PS- I'm afraid of heights, lol. Good way to get rid of my fear?
For the U.S.: Are licenses only valid in the state you get them in?
