  1. I travel a lot for work, and as such I have to squeeze jumping in when I can. Having commitments nearby in Marietta I decided to take my rig and check this place out. It was a great experience with great people so much so I wanted to write this review. From the moment I walked in I was engaged by Dino and introduced to Crash one of the riggers on site (needed a reserve repack). There was a decent crowd for a Friday morning, with a steady stream of tandems, some free-flyers and wingsuiters as well as AFF students. The carpeted packing area feels more like a living room and there is a small proshop on site. Kayla the GM was charming and answered all my questions, while Autumn handled the manifest. I have jumped a few different places but I have to say this place stood out as genuinely friendly and inviting. I plan on making this a recurring stop on my travels and you should too.

  2. I am doing a summer college program down the road and found out about VSA. I called and spoke to Heather and it sounded as if she was describing the DZ from "Fandango" and I told her so. We both laughed but it really has that casual feel (without the jackass-ery in Fandango of course). Ole and his crew were pros and very friendly. They stay busy with tandems and Ole was telling me they just celebrated 20 years and it is no wonder. Great folks with great scenery - no "sky gods" preening around the packing mats or talking smack. Just regular folks with a passion for jumping.
On the downside it is a Cessna DZ, of which they have 2. SO we managed a 5 way from a 182 but if you are looking to to a big way VSA is not the place.
Bottom line, I will and would jump here again. If you can check them out.
