I found this fo about my first 10 free falls.

What worked for me was doing a Dorothy from the wizard of OZ....... ie tap your feet together once as this concentrates your mind on where your legs and feet are and sorts the position out.

Honest it worked (and still works) for me

am doing a couple of AFFS tomorrow to get myself current after 10 years of layoff with the same number of jumps as yourself.

Lets hope the weather holds, along with my nerves, cos at the moment im bordering on the terrified

I know exactly how you feel, iv had a nine year layoff and am aboout to get a couple of AFF levels in to get me current.

I think about the actual thought of jumping out of a plane and crap myself

Then i think of diving towards another skydiver with fluffy clouds all around

Accept the fear anyone who isnt scared is either bonkers or lying

Thanks for the advice, the one thing i wil be is humble, im petrified even thinking about it

but i think the anticipation is overriding the fear

New to this, but on with the point.


I have had a 9 year layoff, previously having 185 jumps.

Any advice on what sort of FAMS consoles etc etc i would have to do???
