  1. I jumped one in Russia, several times...personally, it's one of my favorites. I don't really understand why anyone would have any objections to flying them in the U.S. I too was searching for ANs in the U.S. once and came across some interesting info...

The AN-2 (Anton) is/was being used by the military, in relatively large numbers in Afghanistan, Iraq and other parts of the middle east. It's STOL, low and slow capabilities, reliability and range have made it useful as a search/scout and cargo plane. The An-2 is supposedly produced in a few different countries and by different mfgrs...so it's doubtful the quality is consistent. Here's some good info...

  3. I'd raced MX for about 12+ years and despite several nasty crashes, I'd never broken a bone. At one particular race, I was bangin' handlebars with one rider from start to finish...we were fightin' for 1st place. Though I didn't fall and was never hit anywhere but in the hands and forearms, I ended the race with three broken ribs...:(...braggin' rights not included.

Q: Where would you like to live in the future?
    A: St. Petersburg.

:D Yeah, that's kinda' how I ended up going there. I'd forgotten that they'd changed it back to St. Petersburg....I was thinkin' Florida! :(

Look on the bright side. At least you didn't pull a Peter Griffin, and lock yourself inside your truck with the keys outside.

...or worse....pull into a parking lot, with the turn signal stuck "on" and a full tank of gas! :o

Do you consider yourself a good person?

I don't think that's for me to decide, I try to pay attention to the reviews.

Do you regret your decisions in life?

No....but I sure regret those that some others have made.

  10. Inner peace is good but "inner strength", is where it's at. After all, man....anybody can finish something but it takes real inner strength, to keep blowin' shit off. ;)

  11. Saw it at the theatre, when it first came out....excellent movie and way better than any of the "Sniper" movies. Though Vassili's story was a bit embellished....the portrayal of Stalingrad during the battle, the civilians, the soldiers, their equipment and tactics seemed pretty spot-on, historically speaking. Looked like somebody did some research, for this one.
