Skydive Robertson is your other alternative. A student DZ focussing on sport skydiving rather than tandem activity. It's approximately 90mins drive from Cape Town. They operate every weekend and you are welcome to stay over. -
The lies. -

Nothing to say. Simply making sure all the SANZAR nations are represented. -
4 Nights in Cape Town.
We could have gone for beer.

Now that you mention it...It will be 11 years for me in a bit over a month. As for pimp fees, yup I owed them. For nothing less than HH informing the entire female population of dorkzone that I was a true gentleman.
A case of beer used to go bloody far back in the early noughties

QuoteWhat ever happened to Will?Is he still walking back from his last spot?
Back in SA on a holiday at the moment. Jumping at Skydive Mosselbay I think. If he spots like that over there he is going to get very wet

Never had a problem and I am a few time zones away.

There are few things better than watching an Aussie sporting side twist in the wind

At a glance SA and Aus only potentially meet up in the T20 World Cup this year........where we will, in all likelihood, choke again

Nah. POS branded Chinese generic motorcycle.
They are imported pretty much out of a catalogue. Gomoto is simply a trading name. Means nothing. The next guy will bring in the same thing from the same Chinese manufacturer with a slightly different tank, indicators, wheels etc etc and will sell it as a Vuka or MotoMia.
Cheap, cheerful, disposable rubbish.....but better than walking. -
QuoteLoud pipes? Please! Super traps on an 87 700 VFR sounded as if a P-51 and a cake mixer had kids!
That thing sounded SEXY!
That she does If you want to work on her though you had better know one end of a spanner from the other.

I have had quite a few beers under canopy over the years. In fact the last load of the day often used to be a 'Beer Load'. This entailed a hop and pop at altitude, sometimes using student equipment, followed by a leisurely beer or two on the way down. This was possible due to a loophole in the SA rules on drinking and skydiving. This loophole has unfortunately been closed.
I have also witnessed the consumption of 1.5 pints of sherry on the way down. The landing was spectacular
Heaven alone knows what 4 pints would do

Quoteyou have to be sick and tired of smoking. Then you can quit. Smile
True that.
Had my last @ 23:55 31 Dec 2008.
Still miss it though, so I guess I'm on Aggiedave's team -
QuoteAll Blacks not missed all those penalty kicks. I wonder how South Africa would have played against New Zealand? We will never know as far as this tournament is concerned.

Quotethe Dnepropetovsk Sport Aviation Club, founded on August 18th 1933, and still in operation.
Good grief. The Russians in the lead by 2 decades or so.
Some would say an adventurous national spirit.
Some would say Borscht farts at 3000ft.
I say, good vodka.

The logic behind this is that you are always turning the canopys towards each other. In other words to turn to the right you initiate a right hand turn on the left hand canopy. The left hand canopy then gently pushes the right hand canopy around as well.
This is to minimise the chances of a downplane developing which can occur if the canopys are turned away from each other.
They are both out there and enjoying each others company, so do not disturb. If you have to then keep them close.

I have fallen off at speed with gear and I have fallen off at speed without gear. I felt a lot more comfortable after the 'with gear' incidents .
Helmet, gloves, jacket even for a trip around the block. I know how it feels to be pushed down a long, long cheese grater and have no need for reminding.

When we tried to chase you thieving buggers out about 120 years later you decided not to leave....quite stubborn about it too. .
