Well, we got weathered out last week, so we're gonna try one more time. This Wednesday, Skydance in Davis CA. Night jumps. Be there, or be square.
Unless you live in another state. Then you can still be round. -

When Paul van Dyk dropped Flaming June (dubplate at the time, with only grease pen to note the title) at Metropolis way back in Summer '96, I about had a heart attack. *sigh*
Dude, I feel the exact same way. That track still gives me the shiver every time I hear it. -
It's hard to think about a war we never experienced (thankfully).
Dulce Et Decorum Est. -Wilfred Owen
Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind.
Gas! GAS! Quick, boys! - An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling,
And flound'ring like a man in fire or lime...
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.
In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.
If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues, -
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori. -
Old school Oakenfold is awesome. I've got some recordings of Radio One Essential Mixes from '99 and '00, and they rock. But Bunka sucked, as did everything after and a few things before.
I saw him live twice, and both times he was a big showboat. A shower, not a grower. -
Bacon Ice Cream. -
Grrr. Got weathered out. Oh well, try again next week. -
If anyone in the Nor Cal area wants to do some night jumping, Davis is going to be doing them tonight. Anyone who wants to join is more than welcome.
I might also add that this will be my first night jump, and I will be bringing beer to mark the occasion. -

OK, how do podcasts work? You must have to download pre-recorded programs each time, right?Quotejust got my 30gb white with video last week and I'm loving it! I take a commuter train 1 hour each way to work since we moved to San Jose and the Ipod makes it much more bearable! Be sure to subscribe to the SkydiveRadio podcast!
What would it take to simply have an IPOD that also has a radio receiver in it? This is what I don't quite get right now. maybe I'm making an idiot of myself & I just don't understand. I'm new to this. But I would like to use my IPOD as the center of my home stereo system, but I also wanna listen to the radio sometimes too. And also, what if I'm out somewhere with just my IPOD & wanna hear a live radio broadcast? can that be done?

I've actually always found that I like a lot of the same things I liked as a kid. I do not understand people who seem to have forgotten & are striving to "find their inner child."QuoteSometimes, when your reality just doesn't mesh with that of other adults, remember that we all love you anyway....lol.
I usually feel like a little kid masquerading as an adult. I don't need to find my inner child, it's keeping up this "outer adult" facade that's difficult for me!
No kidding. -
QuoteDude, your going about it all wrong.
Buy really nice system.
Buy Mac G4 Powerbook.
Install all your tunes on Itunes.
Get the airport reciever and plug into the wall behind stereo and plug that optical port into your stereo.
Whala....wireless Itunes that you can take anywhere with you (reciever) and play your music wirelessly. Even the DZ.
Course, this will cost you around 4k, but whos countn?
Good call. And, if you're anywhere near Santa Rosa, come buy it from me. -
I would find a system independent of the iPod. The iPod can plug into any home stereo system, whether it's designed for it or not, as long as it has RCA input ports, or a line in jack.
Find something nice, and I almost guarantee the iPod will work fine with it. -
Heh. I'm cool off that. -
Look, politicians are just actors anyways. I don't see what the problem is. I like his politics. -

QuoteTwo words: Ronald Reagan.
Oh, come on. Christopher Walken > Ronald Reagan any day of the week! I mean, Walken can dance! And sing! And act! And he supports the military! -
Wow. That dude is hardcore. -

Mine is a common mispronunciation of my first name. I like it, as it is fairly unique, and very seldom taken by anybody else. -
QuoteI won't be there today, but it's a great DZ. You'll have a good time. See you around
Ditto. -
Last night I had a dream. No, not that kind of dream you sicko's... The kind where somebody yells "Door!" and I'm freeflying. However, I forgot to pull until about 100 feet or so. I pulled, only to miraculously have my canopy open, and simply step onto the ground, unhurt. I looked around to make sure nobody saw me, then daisy chained my canopy and walked back to the DZ.
I get dreams like this almost once a week. The kind where I forget to pull, but somehow don't bounce, for one reason or another. Is this normal? Anybody else get dreams like this on a regular basis? -
I've had both severe allergies and severe asthma all my life, and I can say that as long as you have your medicine, it's nothing to worry about.
I keep an Albuterol inhalor with me at all times, and if I start having an attack, a couple quick puffs make it all better. I also use Q-Var as a preventative measure once a day. Sure, I get attacks, but again, as long as I've got an inhalor with me it's no big deal. -
Ambidextrous, baby! I can dance any which way. -
Taco Bell! Represent! -
Heh. Hehe.
