  1. Well Matt, I remember talking to you about it during the demo. I'm sure that my leg straps were even, and I wasn't shifting in my harness. I'll also be fair and say there may have been other issues that I didn't explore.

In the defense of Flight Concepts....I flew many of their canopies during my student progression and they were fine. Also, they have been very good to many people, especially the military. ALSO, Red's customer service is fantastic.

It may have been the ONE I jumped?

Now stop ragging on me :P

  2. If you go to XE.com or some other currency converting website, you should be able to compare the AUD to USD. You'll find that you'll be charged very little difference from that price. I purchased my box before my helmet, and couldn't tell the difference either time.

  3. Right on. I ordered my second container with the freefly handle. I never had any problems with it coming dislodged, I just preferred the hackey handle. I called Ankie at Wings, and a few days later had a new handle sent to me....for free. I have always had the BEST customer service from Wings.

  4. Since I couldn't find the R-Max in the gear section, I thought that I would write my review here. About me: I jump a Wings container, a Sabre2 150 and and an R-Max 148. Last week at Rantoul I had the opportunity to demo a lot of canopies from Art Sherry @ skydivestore.com and Skyfest. After trying out the Stiletto and a smaller Sabre2, I decided to try the Nitron 150. Due to my poor packing skills I opend in severe line twists that I couldn't get out of. By about 1900 feet I decided it was time to get rid of it. The reserve opening was pretty mushy since I didn't have a terminal opening, but it was still quick for what felt like an eternity to me. It opened on heading (thanks Mike) and flew straight (which I've heard some reserves do not do). I was a little concerned about landing a 148 sq ft non-zp canopy, but it landed like a main and put me right on my tippy toes. I was a bit hesitant at buying an R-Max at first versus buying a PD or other reserve, but I wouldn't have a problem getting another one. Additionally, I was able to purchase it for 40% off at that, no other reserve came close to the $700 bucks I paid for the R-Max. Thanks to my rigger, thanks to Art at skydivestore and thank u Precision.

  5. So there were less people, less vendors, etc. So what? I still had fun. Met some great people, joined the Hellfish, jumped alot, got drunk, and even met Amy Chmelecki. It was worth it.

  6. His eating habits will change ALL the time. My 3 year old daughter went from throwing up all the time to eating like a horse, to not eating, to being selective since Christmas.....best advice if you are truly concerned is to see his pediatrician.

  7. Does anyone know how to add/who to contact to add a specific piece of equipment to a gear review or classified postings? Specifically for the R-Max? I don't see it listed under Precision's canopies in the gear review section. Also, I have gear posted and there is only a link for a regular raven reserve and not for the R-Max. Thanks.
