  1. I have around 1500 jumps on 330 and 365 TX2s after over 10,000 on original Icarus tandems. This canopy is the best I’ve ever flown. Openings are long, but we’ll worth it. I jump the steep trim models, and I don’t get stuck in the air. Super responsive, powerful flare, just a joy to work with. The only downside is it’s tough to stand up in no wind, but with the slightest clean breeze it’s really nice. Looking forward to my next 10,000 tandems with these canopies.

  2. I recently moved from a safire2 169 to my current crossfire2 169. I am loading mine at about 1.4:1. This canopy opens like a dream, soft and on heading, hunted back and forth a bit and opened on heading everytime. Pull the slider down and let out the chest strap and you're on your way! The glide on the canopy is insane! Push the rear risers apart an inch or 2 and you WILL outglide anyone in the sky! The turns are very quick and powerful. The front riser pressure is probably a bit lighter than my safire2 and the canopy really wants to dive once you start. The canopy is also more responsive to harness input. Upon landing you will shock yourself with the power of the flare. And then when you go to step off, you have some more flare power. This canopy makes you feel like you are flying a solid wing not an inflatible one. Icarus has once again set the standard for high performance canopy design. Watch the competitions next 9 cell ellipticals come out with fully elliptical planform shapes and fully formed leading edges. You can not lose with this canopy. Research this company and you will be convinced they really are the industry leaders!

  3. This is one rock solid canopy. Opens like a dream, super soft and on heading if you give it a chance. Incredible glide on the canopy. I've found on both my safires that you bring the slider down and push the rear risers apart just a bit and this thing will glide forever. Great flare power too. I'd suggest it to anyone looking for a solid performance canopy without going extreme. I load mine at 1.37 and couldnt be happier.

  4. I demoed a lotus 190 when Brian Germain was at the ranch. I have never been so scared in all my 360 jumps. Opened fast and hard. Tried some flares and the sweetspot seemed high but good enough. Went to do a toggle turn down to my waist and after 180 degrees it tried to collapse on itself. Even minor turns and braked turns felt twitchy. I spent the rest of my 5000' hoping I would make it to the ground. I respect Brian Germain very much as he was very willing to share his wealth of knowledge but his canopies are not for me.
