i too switched to Horizon. I am a pretty big milk drinker, but i didn't notice the difference in taste. I LOVE Horizon though.... I'll never go back to non-organic milk or ANY dairy products for that matter. Good for you for switching!

I avoid aspartame and high fructose corn syrup like the plague. Soda is bad for you period. Most "diet' or "low fat" foods are far worse for you then regular (like yogurt, so cream, soda, ice cream etc...) Artificial anything is pretty much not good for your body. For the most part... if it's man made (ie not natural sugars, fats, etc), your body doesn't have the ability to process it correctly.

Also, switch all dairy products to organic milk based items. They put some weird shit in milk...

I eat meat and some crap, but it's all the little choices that make a difference.

I have two favorite tools. I cook everynight, and personally feel that I'm pretty decent armature chef. I find these two tools to be indispensable.

French Spatula- it flexes, it's thin, and it's sharp. Perfect for getting under cookies, tossing vegetables, flipping pancakes, etc.

Edlund Tongs- accept no imitations. Stir with them, flip, toss, serve, ... the uses are never ending. The reason they are better than other brands are that when closed, the front lines up, evenly, so you have consistent grip on whatever you're grabbing. They also lock and are very sturdy. I highly recommend them.
